  1. .................especially if she's supposed to be chauffering you about []
  2. Dean m8, think you misread my shirt size - you got me down for a large - no way jose - xl shirt please - never gonna get into a large [] will need to order another for my son but have to check his size!
  3. Just realised, the day after my first suggestion, the 1 May , is the May Day holiday so that might not be such a good idea?
  4. Perhaps its having that quicky thats slowing you down.......lol []
  5. Wheres the prodrive place you're talking about - is it worth an overnight stop so we could have a few I may have one of my sons riding along and we'd already spoken about following the convoy out of our area and making a proper road trip of it Sorry, large font again, wasting space......[:$]
  6. Theres not been an overwhelming amount of feedback thus far so I think its probably gonna be easiest to organise a day trip, rather than an overnighter although I agree that being able to have a few would be nice . If we travelled out early we'd get a decent enough time 'en France' to have a ride round, stop for dinner and duty frees. Could I set the ball rolling by proposing a date(s) and preferred route and then if others want to add their names to it with some indication of numbers travelling Barry (plus 1?) 30 April / 28 May Shuttle
  7. Afternoon Ron........we'll always try to cater for those with families, as you could tell from our Hastings jolly [] Need a bit of feedback on this thread before we can think about making more positive enquiries about prices etc so keep an eye on it. Incidentally a posting has been made on the East Sussex site and Worzel ( what no aunt Sally [:'(] ) seemed interested about coming along. We'll obviously update you as soon as we have come up with something a bit more definite []
  8. That's a bit inconsiderate of him - I don't know, you can't rely on anyone to work where you want them to these days []
  9. Silver v-reg classic wagon , about 6.00pm tonight joining the A2 London-bound at Pepper Hill....................cheer up m8y []
  10. Bet its bl--dy cold down there []
  11. Taken the Markie route and booked the car into Xtremes next thursday - thanks everyone for your advice.
  12. I shall certainly miss trying to follow you [][] Seriously though, job and family has to come first........I'm told that there are other cars on the road in the meantime should you choose to drive one [] All the best with the business.
  13. Markie, he'll regret making those threats when he needs a lift everywhere []
  14. The shuttle is Eurotunnel not Eurostar ( which is the Waterloo - Paris passenger service) - are you sure you're not confusing the two?
  15. That was my feeling as well - I don't even think Cite Europe is open on a Sunday . Lets see what other sort of feedback we get.
  16. Meant to add that I'm awaiting to hear from Eurotunnel to see if we could get any sort of group discount - I suggested we might manage 15 cars? Was that a little optimistic?
  17. Have started making enquiries but there are some issues that need some feedback please. Date - I would assume that a Saturday is best for most people and having regard to the diary that Dean scheduled out on the back of the newsletter, the earliest convenient date might be 27 May - yes, I know thats 3 months away but as far as I can see its about the first full weekend clear of other events. Means of travel - personally I prefer the shuttle, mainly because its quicker and not so likely to be affected by the weather although I accept the argument that the ferry crossing is all part of the day out. Costs - at this stage its not possible to book the ferry for a day trip more than 28 days in advance - if we were to be going in the next month the cost would be about £30 for a car and 2 adults. The shuttle can be booked in advance and is likely to be in the order of £49 per car, regardless of the no. of occupants. Where to go when we get there? St Omer is comfortably within an hours drive from Calais - there is a large town centre square for parking and plenty of cafes etc around the square. Montreuil-sur-mer , to the south, is slightly further away but can be a pleasant drive if you go down the coast - there are several nice little places along that coast road for eating - Wissant , Wimereux and if the weathers good we could stop at the beach[] Over to you. Could we please keep this thread purely for the France trip. Thank you.
  18. Since this thread has now gone off at such a tangent to the original posting I've started a fresh thread for the proposed trip to France - polite request could we please keep the new thread purely for issues relative to that trip? Thanks guys (and Daisy)
  19. Cheers dunks - perhaps give them a call, or may even drop in as I'm down to Rochester in next few days.
  20. My mot is due in the next couple of weeks and my only concern is with the zorst - it has been suggested that certain garages might fail it as one of the cats was taken out when the zorst was replaced . Anyone know any garages where this isn't likely to cause a problem - spoke to Deano666 and he believes Dunks and Monty have just had their motors tested so if either of you can help me out I'd be grateful.[]
  21. Deano666 did my 60k service - very pleased - very thorough.
  22. Only at work on Thursday this week so will start 'researching' prices etc [co][8-|] Watch this thread []
  23. Watch this space in the next few days for proposals for a day trip to France [sn][sn][sn]
  24. If this really is a serious proposal I don't mind making a few enquiries and taking it on - I really can't believe that I just offered to do this [:'(] [:'(] Shall we wait to see if there's any response via this thread or as they say at Nike "just do it" and start a new thread?
