Rolling Road Day @ Power Engineering-- Sat 25th November
deani_age replied to tony_cousins's topic in South East England
Mr Moderator I never went away, Just threw my dummy out of the scooby after reading some of the posts from other members. As I am coming to the meet tonight, I can explain the reasons for starting the thread, and address some of the comments made, directly with those that made them. Regards Dean -
Having read some of the comments from the SIDC Chairman and KS members, I offer the following response.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I created the thread in the first instance as I was disappointed with the level of moderating applied to Prodrive Tony's "Name and shame time" thread regarding the problems he was having with the service (or lack of it) from Innovate Performance. Whilst I accept that a degree of moderating maybe necessary from time to time, I also believe that the SIDC could have and should have lent its support to Tony. A letter from the SIDC Chairman with nearly 10,000 members behind him, to a poorly performing service provider would be hard to ignore. I also thought back to the recent Kent Modded Show, which Kent Scoobies attended as part of and to promote & represent The SIDC. I am not aware of The SIDC offering or providing any support financial or otherwise to KS for this event. So there you have it. Rightly or wrongly these were the reasons for the initial post. However, some members decided to use the thread as a tool to question the integrity of and insult other members including Tony, Pele and I. The same members that do nothing for the club, are quiet and nowhere to be seen when all is ok, or things need to be done. However, they appear at the front of the queue to lambaste those running the show when things don't quite go as well as they would like. Members that put nothing in, but are happy to sit back whilst others do all of the hard work planning and organising events and meets. Kent Scoobies is a great club, unfortunately some of the members aren't. Dean

Rolling Road Day @ Power Engineering-- Sat 25th November
deani_age replied to tony_cousins's topic in South East England
So Andy is 400 / 400 on the cards? -
Anyone fancy this? 24th November at Goodwood. It's the full track, about 2.3 miles. I was there earlier this year, it was great, enjoyed it much more than Brands Hatch. 105dB noise limit, only 5 car on track at anyone time. Limited to 25 cars in total. I think there are a several places available. We could make it a Kent Scoobies Impreza dominated day. www.track-masters.co.uk<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Question from a potential buyer who has a 94 WRX import. What improvements (if any) would changing the ECU to a Z5 off a 95 WRX RA make?

The ducks and drakes are you in your impreza trying to keep up with the instructor driving a transit minibus. I passed on that one, didn't want to come last before the day officially started.

Any one wishing to go can click on the link in my previous message. I wouldn't bet against Arron in his Volvo with or without babyseat. However, it's someone elses turn to show him their crap driving skills. I've had mine. Shorts are ok if he ties the tops of the legs to keep the s*it in.

Sorry Guys and Gals, I have to bow out. Regards Dean

Anyone interested in a Novice Trackday at Brands Hatch on Thursday 14th December, only £99. £25 for a second driver and £10 for a passenger. Deano666 and I had a great time at the last one. Even Arron (The Guru) smiled. Must have been our driving skills (or rather lack of them) that caused that.
