Harvey Smith did a budget build and got very inpressive figures if i remember correctly tdo5 front mount bigger injectors induction fuel pump fuel pressure reg and a remap think he had around the 430 bhp area iirc One hell of a budget car lol Hol has water inj and it improved his bhp figure [Y] not sure but I think new age cars have better cooling anyway ??

I would invest in water injection instead, this will bring the inlet temp right down and you could also use a water/methnol mix for even better cooling. An ERL system is about £360 but worth every penny Tony

Depends on what power you want to make, a standard wrx top mount is good for 330/350 bhp, but a sti one is better for cooling and will run 350/400 bhp. But seeing as you have a nice wrx just fitting a sti top mount will be enough [Y] your engine will only take around 300-330 bhp before it starts to get stressed and ready to go pop. But then again if you rebuild with uprated internals then you can push it a lot more and then a front mount will be needed [] Id go for a nice tdo5/20g turbo, full decat, induction, uprated injectors and a nice ecu remap by a top mapper ( andy forrest/bob rawle ) and have a nice 330-350 bhp engine Depends on the route you wish to take, all down to money [] Tony

Manual boost controller would help you, but set it up using a boost gauge so you know what your boosting at [] 0.9 seems a little low to me though, i thought standard boost was 1.2 [:|] hope that helps Tony

Trevor, it is not the european unit is it ?? My exs dad bought ten for his company vans and they worked for a few days then went mad on him !!! Turns out they were foreign units and they cannot hold the uk maps etc so they go nuts and then cant be used !!!!! He never did get his money back either []

Hi there I had a new age on the same year and I tried most makes of pads but I always ended up using the EBC Yellows , they are even better now with the new compound as you dont need to warm them up like the old ones [] I tried the reds but they are softer than the yellows so they would need replacing sooner [] Go on you know it makes sense [Y] Tony[H]
