Kent Scoobies Membership Meet 14th October
tony_cousins replied to shiralee's topic in South East England
I cannot attend due to family commitments so I will air my views on the forum and hope they are taken in. I will keep it simple and to the point so there can be no confusion. I agree the club has to move forward and that it is a big job for one person to carry out, but in all fairness Pele started the role and no one has wanted to help ! We did have a breif period when Scoobytoo was appointed events organiser but he did loose interest. The club has lots of old and quite a few new members who can help each other for the greater good of the club, we all come from different walks of ife and can contribute. As a club we need to sort out club merchansise, flags etc , membership and some sort of funding. We cannot move forward without all of these. As members we should also be giving up our free time to help the two ro's in there roles. I would like to see Granby as SIDC RO, he has been loyal to the club for many years, he has time to spare, he has links with the sidc already as his role as moderator and he actually WANTS to be involved !!! In this role he would then organise and support the sidc as kentscoobies ensuring the club attends sidc meets and events etc. I would also like to see Pele stay as Kentscoobies RO after all without her efforts over the years there would not have been a club, and to just remove her from the post would be a very low thing to do. She would sort out the Kentntscoobie club meets and events, working alongside Granby as a team on sidc things too. She has always been there for the club and all its members from the start and will always support the club, giving her time where it is needed but in the past she has not had help even when asked. Remember they are not paid and do it for the club and its members !!!! I would also like to see members offering there help and indeed organising things as well, for example baser999 and his french trip , but if you want to do this you have to complete the task and not give up half way through. well thats just the shortened version but you get the idea, lets move forward and out of the dark and into the light !!! Lets use the quieter period over winter to sort ourselves out and emerge a united Kentscoobies next year !!!!! All the best Tony -
There you go then all sorted out Granby for SIDC RO and Pele as Kentscoobies RO Thats a good arrangement for everyone

Kent Scoobies Membership Meet 14th October
tony_cousins replied to shiralee's topic in South East England
If there is no back stabbing then why is it the same few who want this change? Why is it done on the forum first before even thinking of talking to Pele ? Surely a pm would be nice or maybe some help given when asked for !!!! Why is there a small group who divide themselves off from the rest of the club at meets etc?? Why do new members feel left out of the circle when they come to meets etc ?? Like many of the longtime members i have taken a step back to watch the club and seen all that has happened over the past year or two There are lots of points that can be made but no matter what happens you cant please everybody within the club and as long as there are one or two members who do not get there own way it will always cause trouble -
Kent Scoobies Membership Meet 14th October
tony_cousins replied to shiralee's topic in South East England
Well said Andy If people stopped the back stabbing and thinking of themselves the club would move forward but until this happens it will only get worse. As for the web site, we are waiting for a nameless member to sort it out for us and will be up and running very soon. -
Kent Scoobies Membership Meet 14th October
tony_cousins replied to shiralee's topic in South East England
How can there be a regoinal organiser for Kentscoobies ??? Kent is the region, and the post of SIDC Regional Organiser is what has been questioned by certain members of the club. Remember SIDC and Kentscoobies are not and have never been the same thing. Seeing as there will always be a big differance of opiion maybe those who are not happy should start there own club up leaving the rest to carry on the Kentscoobies name, that way there will be no need for this constant back stabbing and bull**** -
Kent Scoobies Membership Meet 14th October
tony_cousins replied to shiralee's topic in South East England
I would like to point out that the meeting is for SIDC REGIONAL ORGANISER which has nothing to do with Kentscoobies directly. Many years ago Phil Stephens approached Pele asking her to take on the role of SIDC organiser for kent with the condition the club got a forum within the SIDC. Anyone can take on this role but Kentscoobies is separate from the SIDC. Seeing as there are two divided factions within the club maybe those who are not happy start up there own club and see if it works any better !!! that way there can be no more bickering and people are free to go where they wish giving there time to what ever club they wish to choose. This would stop all the senseless fighting and allow people to spend there energies making there club better. just a thought -
Who Wants To Be Sidc Regional Organiser For Kent?
tony_cousins replied to Pele's topic in South East England
How can you say this/ I thought the meeting was about THE KENT REGIONAL ORGANISER ? Surely we need names of the people who are willing to take on the role ?? -
Kent Regional Organiser. . Time For A Change?
tony_cousins replied to Dalthegooner's topic in South East England
Pele is out tonight so wont get to see this till late so expect an answer in the morning Also i would suggest that seeing as this is meeting for the position of SIDC Reginal Organiser and not KentScoobies, Phil Stevens as the SIDC chairman should also be present to air his views. Then any input can be added at the same time while the club is together. So Phil if your out there would be able to attend ??? Cheers Tony -
Kent Regional Organiser. . Time For A Change?
tony_cousins replied to Dalthegooner's topic in South East England
I believe its time for a new Regional Organiser. . . . . 1. Dalthegooner 2. Mickyw 3. Shrek 4. eureka 5. And those who think Pele should keep the role 1. Pele 2. Loony Toon I do not think most people realise what Pele has done for the club, she has kept Kent Scoobies going through all the years even though she has had a few problems of her own !!!! When she has asked for help there have been promises but no one has ever come up with the goods. Now she has the support of a few members ( Big Jay,Scoots,Vickyk) who want to see the club move on and things are getting sorted out even if slowly. When things are arranged the club has a huge list of people but when the day arrives who actually turns up to the meets ? And as for being at every meet, some of you are lucky enough to earn good money and can afford these things but others do not and cannot commit the funds, not when there are more important things to pay for instead. Also why dont people have the balls to say these things to her face instead of all the backstabbing ??? And anyone can be Kent reginal organiser because as it state its for KENT and not KENTSCOOBIES Shame more time is not put into supporting the club , that way it would run better. Pele would accept all the help she can get but the offers are thin on the ground when it actually is asked for. -
cheers for that input bttt

Engine Management Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
tony_cousins replied to big rob's topic in South East England
I had similar experiences with TSL a few years back when i had a full decat fitted and a re-map. The car seemed fine at first but then the ecu warning light came on, so i contacted them and expressed concerns and was told that it needed a cel fix which was done. It lasted a week before the ecu light came on again and the car started running like a pig Turned out the problem was with a faulty turbo, and during mapping they had picked up this but they still went ahead with the remap and sent me on my way. ok the performance was better etc but the turbo was affecting everything else on the car which eventually let to a blown engine !!!!! If your not happy i would get a second opinion, Jolly Green Monster can plug in his software and look at what the engine is doing and could shed some light onto it, he wont be able to alter the mappng though as this is protected but it will give you an idea as to what its doing hope this helps Tony -

Fantastic pics and some nice machinery to boot Still love to see the little suzuki ignus mixing it up, they look so much fun !!!! And a rs200 too.......... heaven -
Alot of the new cameras are going to be speed and traffic monitors in one. Big brothers way of keeping an eye on how fast we go and also where we go. They are linking them up so they can follow car movements which is ok for tracking stolen cars etc but not so good for joe public who can be followed and monitored all over the country !!!! Eventually that will be how we get charged for using the roads.

A wrap is where your car is literally wrapped, think of the virgin media work vans etc. Its like having one big graphic over the whole car, takes a day to complete and you can have anything you want from simple one solid colour to faded colours or mettalics and even carbon fibre !!! It is garaunteed to be fade resistant and once on you treat it the same as a paint job ie polish, wash etc . It is far more scratch resistant and if you do damage it you can replace parts f it and it matches straight away unlike paint Hope it helps Tony

Congrats to the pair of you Im sure a badge can be made but it may be too big for little Daisy

Spotted the GURU in Dockside Chatham on Sunday with his daughter , think he was trying to figure out how a lift worked !!!!!! Dark Blue Met Bugeye WRX, same year as mine too this morning coming through medway tunnel, badged up with TSL stickers Tony

Why not have full body wrap ?? Any colour or design and if you get bored with it you can change anytime you want. Company in Whitstable called WRAP-IT charge £1200 but let you put a £250 deposit down and £100 a month but you can change colour etc half way through, plus if you get any damage you can just replace the panel and not the whole respray again. I have seen there work and it is top notch

Go for the Skyline mate [] I had a r32 and it was fantastic, lots of power, same weight as the Scooby, stronger engine and transmission and it was rear wheel drive too !!!!! Wont be long till ill have a R32 GTR back on the drive as a plaything/track car As for owners attitude, i was a member of the Skyline owners club and never once had an issue with them or any other club, Pele and a few other Scoobs used to come along for the days out too, makes for more of a laugh You will miss the burble of a scooby though, but the power and handling more than makes up for it [H]
