Well we once had ours in March - after everyone else in the company lol we had everyones work dumped on us so we didn't get time for a meal lol and ended up going the following March when one of us remembered As for a meal with a diffrence, I was looking at this a few months back but wasn't sure whether to ask if anyone wanted to go as I didn't get a lot of response last year. I was asked whether I was happy to keep running KentScoobies with some help from other selected members. My answer was yes, I am happy to do so. Granby was asked if he would like to take on the SIDC Regional Organiser for Kent role. His answer was yes (if you want to add anything Ian, please do so) We both agreed that both of the roles would need us to work together with small teams of volunteers to help out with events and shows. Also there will be a club matters meet every 2 months that everyone will be invited to and any problems or ideas can be discussed and sorted. This will give every member the chance to have their say and hopefully will stop the arguing on the forums. Once these were confirmed and everyone was agreed we moved onto other subjects. The subject of club meetings was discussed, as there were a few people who expressed their dissapointment at not being able to come to club meets as they were on Friday nights. We thought perhaps a Friday night every other month and a Sunday lunch on the alternating months, choosing a different venue for lunch each time, which would give those who like to go for a drive with the club the oppourtunity to do so. Funding has also been discussed, and one of the proposals was that if any members have their own business, perhaps they would like to sponsor the club, and they would have their logo and details on the flyers we will be giving out at shows. The additional membership was discussed at great length, and I will be speaking to Phil about this as it was not quite clear how some of it would work. Once I have the correct details, I will post them up and we will go from there on that subject. Thanks to Big Jay we now have T-shirts and a range of other merchandise, and as you will see from the thread it is a nice burnt orange, not day glo tango lol Please try and get your orders and money in quickly as it would be nice to see this go as smoothly as possible - don't want him to get put off and have to start all over again I am still trying to make sense of the rest of my notes so I will add the rest when I have deciphered it, but please feel free to add your comments if I have missed anything - I'm on dial up so everything is very slooowww lol so reply may be delayed lol I will also be adding the list of people required for helping within the club along with those already filled. Unfortunately I lost my internet at the beginning of the debate, and am at present using a friends computer, so after this my replies may be few and far between depending on whether I can use other people's computers. I'd like to thank those who have said such nice things and supported me, and I must admit that I have been plesantly suprised by some of those who are supporting me, but not so suprised by those who have not. What I can't understand is why people don't say these things to me at the meets, why they feel they have to put it onto a public forum. Am I that scary that you can't take me to one side and have a chat? I don't feel that I am unnaprochable, I am the one who meets and greets all the new members, and if I wasn't approchable then they wouldn't be coming back would they? Speaking of which there were new members at the last meet who felt they were left to fend for themselves and were just about to leave when I turned up. There are also a few regulars who have pm's or text me to say if I hadn't kept speaking to them at meets they wouldn't have come back - that hardly helps this 'divide' that seems to be getting bigger and bigger does it? To Dal, it wasn't a lie about the last artist not letting me have the logo - if an artist designs something it belongs to them unless signed over, and this was never done, hence him getting the hump because we used someone else for stickers. It has been done this time so the logo belongs and is copyrighted to me so I have the say in who uses it. KentModded. I've had several people ring me since the show and they have all said a similar thing, the asked for me in person and were told not to even mention my name, how strange is that? One thing I will say is that if I had of had the money and a babysitter, I would have been at Rally Day as I've not been on track for a while and I feel the need to let off some steam lol. I've been speaking to a lot of people in the last couple of weeks both older and newer members, some of which have stopped coming to meets because of the 'clicky' group that seems to form they don't feel it's worth trying to talk to people - this needs to stop if we are to keep members. Another thing is, how many of you have been to every single meet since you joined? How many people have planned their holidays around the club? How many people have been asked to give up a relationship because some mebmers don't approve? And finally T-shirts. Ha, a joke I know. Big Jay is now sorting these (big thanks!), but how many people who have complained will actually be buying one? I can't wait to see the list, and why is Eureka not complaning about the price as he did right in front of everyboday at a meet - he can get them for £7.50! apparently as the person he put me in touch with did not even bother getting back to me despite constant phone calls and e-mails. You say ask for help, sort out meets, organise events. I have lots of times, all got ignored and I'm sure I could get Phil to bring those threads up so you could see all the meet threads I started and no one bothered to respond to. I asked for people to put together write ups for the diary page - those 3 people know who they are so there is no need to name them, but needless to say it didn't happen. I have tried my hardest to keep this club going under alot of difficult personal circumstances. I would love to go to every single meet and event, but funds this year have been very tight and there have been times when I have had to think about selling the car. When I first started the club I did go to every event, that took up nearly every weekend through the summer and has left me with some very big credit card bills! I no longer have the cards, so not so easy to do this anymore. Well thats my say for now, I'm sure I'll think of something else, but it will have to wait until I get back online

Please note this meet is to discuss the SIDC Kent Regional Organiser, as requested by Dal The Gooner. I'm afraid I only have an hour or two free as it is one of my rare weekends with my son and I like to do something with him. We will meet outside the Wharf at 11.45 and I would like the meet to start at 12 sharp. 1. To confirm the actual role of the SIDC regional organiser for Kent, it seems that this has been confused with the KentScoobies Organiser, these are NOT one and the same. 2. What would you want from your Kent RO? 3. What would people suggest could be done to improve the RO situation? Please be aware that this is a discussion not an argument and if it turns into an argument the meeting will be ended. We are allowed to camp by the cars this year same as last year. You can access the site from 3pm Friday, and are only allowed to move on and off the site before 9am and after 5pm Sat & Sun.
