G'day Yeah, car was fully warmed up. As soon as it hit 6k revs it would die, then spring back up. Rather annoying!

Quick question, probably been asked a hundred times........ At what revs will the rev limiter kick in kill acceleration on a MY93? Was coming home last night and couldnt get the car over 6k revs, was simply cutting out Would this have anything to do with having had my battery disconnected thursday night/friday morning? Right, was sitting outside the big nightclub in Greenock last night about 01:30 when my alarm started going off. Tried pressing the usual button on the remote to switch it off, but nothing was happening. Popped the bonnet to have a look and try to stop the alarm before the nightclub emptied at 2! Pulled the wires out of the back of the noisy bit/speaker (technical term) but to no avail. Eventually disconnected the battery and it stopped the alram sounding. Was now stranded with an immobilised car that couldnt start and was towed home early this morning. This morning i tried my spare alarm remote, which to my surprise operated the central locking, which it wasnt doing last night. Tightened up the battery connections, got ignition and started no bother. The trouble is, my turbo timer is now not quite right. The timer will work, as the engine still runs after the key is taken out, but it wont count down on the display and the buttons on the timer do not work. Also, after putting the wires back into the speaker for the alarm, there is no noise, where previously it would beep twice when alarmed. Does anybody know if the turbo timer has to be reset or anything like that, and does anyone know anything about alarms, or a place that specialises in Meta alarms? The turbo timer is HKS and the alram is Meta. Cheers Graeme

Went out for a run this morning up to Greenock and in the space of 15 minutes i was passed by McGoo (yes, that was me out running and waving!), was passed by a nice blue type-r, saw an abandoned 54 plate wrx, was passed by Alza with the white classic, and saw a legacy for good measure! About a foot or 2 of snow down here. Busy morning for the Inverclyde Scoobies! pedals

After being scoobyless for 3 weeks, i have finally got my car back All the damage from my little excusion from the new roundabout at the Gourock road end has been fixed and a new set of alloys on the car (after i split 2 of the previous ones on impact with the kerb). Thanks to Ally-b for the alloys and to Autotec in Port Glasgow for doing the job at a great price and service. Thanks also to everyone who offered with help for sourcing parts, helping with work, wheels etc, it was very much appreciated. Hope these pics appear, first attempt on the new forums! Still getting used to having gold alloys opposed to silver that i had previously cheers pedals
