  5. Italian MOT indeed Stephen ;
  6. You're welcome Amanda. We are quite helpful sometimes A lot of short runs may not do it any good either, a good long run would be good for. As would driving it hard sometimes too When you put the shell in, try and get a good full tank of it and put in some octane booster too. Then give it an "Italian MOT" as the saying goes - ie. drive it very hard everywhere for a while, to let the ECU reset itself. Brian
  7. I run optimax in mine, without octane booster. It is recommended for 97+ RON fuel, but it will also run (poorly) on standfard unleaded. I would look at there being other reasons for its' poor running as it is a UK car, so should be fine on most fuels. Do you still have it under warranty - getting it looked at by a Subaru (or other) garage, plugged into a select monitor may show up some issues. Was it running the same before service? If not, get it back into them - it may be something pretty simple. These are reliable cars - other than minor niggles, and major engine failures Brian
  8. Hi Amanda and welcome. If it is a JDM (Japanese Import) car there you should be running Optimax/Super Unleaded PLUS an Octane Booster, unless your car has been remapped for UK fuel. That may be why it is not running well. Lots of info on here - someone else will post up too if you can tell us what car you have ie - 1999 UK spec Turbo 2000, 1996 WRX STI version 3 etc etc? Brian
  9. << ...and will have a PS2 with remote joypad. Ed. >> That's the point I think she was referring to fuzzy

  11. I had a look at the one in Pheonix Honda, Falkirk - I like it. The Honda website shows it off well too.
  12. I have the STI one, but in a rolling road test in Issue One of Scooby Magazine, the Green cotton filter came out best.

  17. Yes - I will be at the West Lothian meet next week - come along and meet us - one day you will hopefully be driving your Impreza to the meets. A Sport is a very good first buy (just been reading the numerous replies) but insurance will be the only real saving (BIG saving) as fuel is not much different. Had a 55 plate 2.0GX Sport as a courtesy car from Ian Grieve Subaru in Falkirk and it was very good fun and relaxing and quiet when you need it to be too, but not much more economical than mine Most Subaru owners get roughly 200ish miles for £40 worth of Optimax, so not exactly economical, but not bad for the car. I reckon you could get, driving lightly around 300 miles for £40 in the Sport, maybe more. Good luck. Brian
  18. Oh - and I'm from West Lothian too. Here is my car:
  19. Jeez - 7 pages - and I've only been offline since late last night - times flies were you're talking crap Brian Oh - welcome too
