  1. I'd be up for a re-run.

Did not get the chance at the re-run date due to the "inconsiderate" placement of a ditch face-icon-small-wink.gif

Then booked a seperate time but had to work so cancelled.

Good luck in getting it organised whoever it is - I'll be there face-icon-small-smile.gif

    Brian.

  2. Spotted - the Carbon Fibre bonnet gave it away instantly and the TEIN stickers.

We were having a congestion race face-icon-small-wink.gif - I almost got out of first gear, you disappeared off, at least at 15 MPH.

Hope life is well with you and the Yaris Dave.

Nice to actually spot someone in the drudgery which is the M8 Eastbound at 8AM face-icon-small-sad.gif

  3. Congratulations guys - looks very good and a good cause!

Pity I could not be there - maybe next year but may just be the same scenario with work face-icon-small-sad.gif

One question - who is the ugly guy who looks like Kojak with the glasses on beside the blue STI bugeye with gold badges and private plate??? face-icon-small-wink.gif

  4. Well said Billyboy,

It pretty much is what it should be, the odd "moment" aside. The issues which were prevalent on another widely used bulletin board were related to the moderation and running of it - which is not an issue here - the issues here seem to be personal, or misguided.

There is no reason for bad feeling - this is the internet, not real life and an interest in Subaru is what brings us here firstly, secondly to build up connections and meet friends with similar interests. For that it has been very useful.

    Long live SIDC.

  5. << I see the problem with this ( apart from the legal ramifications for SIDC and poster of a libelous post) as one of consistency.

Sometimes a dealer does a great job, sometimes its crap. In Phil's analogy at least the fags all have the same carcenogenic properties!

I have seen numerous threads here, and on the other forum which have conflicting views on the merits/demerits of a particular organisation. Often it gets heated. Perception is not always reality and since this is about opinions its a dangerous area.

Also how would we/SIDC go about "approving" a supplier/vendor? Can't really see a "3 bad experiences and your out" working because its too subjective.

I am fairly clear on the organisation (Subaru approved and otherwise) that I would trust with my car.... and the ones I wouldn't let near it with a chamois ! I imagine if we all did the same excercise the lists would be very similar.

Great original post to prompt discussion and debate though.

    12) WRXMANIA - Evening would be good.

I will give them a chance - bought my last car there from Derek who was good - just, like IanJ, would not trust servicing there. However this is not to say that other dealers are excellent - bee a good idea for a meet.

Good on the dealer if they will make some effort, unlike some others.

    When you thinking Matt?
