Stephen STI-04!!! used to pass my way in his RS before he went all scooby on us face-icon-small-wink.gif

Sunday would be great if you were available. Thanks again for your offer of fitting. I touch goats BTW.

  2. What about the gauges? Easy to fit? Any friendly fitting advice available face-icon-small-wink.gifface-icon-small-wink.gifface-icon-small-wink.gif ?????

I quite fancy the Carbon Fibre one - the interior is grey so at least CF would look good. Is all the wiring and pipework etc etc there for the gauges and will they do the job for me?!?!?

If so, then I will take them - any pics?

  3. Whooo Hoooooo!!!!

She is back and looking the same as she did before the accident. Excellent job by Derek @ A F Nobles bodyshop in Penicuik and his staff.

The replacement parts list was extensive (a full side of A4) and the cost just short of 4k, in spite of there being virtually no mechanical damage and only a few panels needed.

Glad to have it back - just need to wait a while before the smell of Waxoyl disappears (had the first year body service done again as part of the repair).

Spend tonight cleaning her up in detail and the finishing touches ie Swissol wax etc. I will add some pics when it is lighter face-icon-small-wink.gif

Pity I missed the Yaris and others incl Grants rather fruity sounding side exit zorst , H1 SOOBs beasty , and we can't forget the Primera face-icon-small-wink.gif >>

YES - never truer words - PARTICULARLY THE LAST BIT - Gery had SERIOUS oncerns about whether the rollers could take the strain of the quality Toyota/Nissan cars and as for The Animal face-icon-small-wink.gifface-icon-small-wink.gifface-icon-small-wink.gif !!!!

  5. Good to see you too Grant,

Congratulations to Stevo on a good and accurate figure - at last !!!

My Primera GT made 147 BHP and 130 torque which is spot on the manufacturers figures for the standard car (which it is) - even after 85,000 miles. Going back up on the 13th ( face-icon-small-happy.gif ) to get the Impreza done (Vauxhall day - going early though to avoid the "rush" ).

  6. A F Nobles in Penicuik - 01968 672003,

You will see several recommendations for them on here. Established for a long time so actually well trained staff face-icon-small-wink.gif

Also, could try Eden Subaru in Fife - new dealership who seem to be getting some good recommendations.

    Hi Spooks,

My car will not be back until at least next week - the mechanical stuff is being done on Friday and Saturday AM and then all the final prep etc. I am hoping Monday or Tuesday.

If my new car is not being serviced and a key coded Saturday AM by Nissan then I will come along in it - do you reckon I could put it on the rollers - FWD 2.0 GT Primera instead of wasting my slot??
