Oh dear - this was one of the only motoring related ones of me - usually I am behind the camera so lots of pics of cars
Here is one of me @ Dastek with my SUPERB all black Primera 2.0 GT.
Oh yeah - and my API Engines jacket on too
Brian

Pretty much yeah. Don't try to hide too much as it may catch you out one day. Just budget it into your modification cost.
I do like the Prodrive spoiler - not too many around, and better visibility than the STI-8 one
Brian
P.S. I touch goats
-
It will all pan out - I should know
-
Prodrive spoiler from Subaru but you could do a search on eBay? Will cost roughly £500 plus fitting and painting - however the guy to try is DR Motorsport in West Calder (web address is similar to username) - catch David mainly on Scoobynet or at Knockhill. His spoilers come ready painted too and fit the four bolt holes of the boot, like my Prodrive one.
I have attached a few more piccies to give you the idea. I was near berwick today at the coast - wish I'd taken some picces @ Pease Bay too
Brian.
P.S. You must be ITCHING to get it on the road and get it MODDED - unleash some of its power - maybe think about PPP - especially if you can get it second hand.
-
I suppose you could class it as "success" if getting thrown out of places, being repeatedly sick and hitting someone on the head with a mobile phone counts
-
What's happeninf with the EVO then Stephen?

Aside from fuel, the running costs are certainly not that bad - tyres are dependant on wheel size and qulity and many service components are actually quite cheap after Subaru reduced the prices recently.
Other bits mind you can be pricey!!

Yeah - well done to Raymond Van Barnelveld - World Professional Darts Champion at the Lakeside for the fourth time

HEY STEVO!!!
Whit aboot mine

Here you go - not the best Cal but you get the idea.

Newage UK cars certainly are - my MY03 WRX has an ally bonnet.
I am sure Nobles will do all they can for you. Try searching for some parts yourself to speed up the process.
Brian.

It is part of the Subaru franchise but I have seen all sorts of cars in there - they also do spraying for their Rover/MG franchise too and seem to operate with a certain amount of independance. I also remember Derek discussing costs and some of the difficulties in them sourcing parts for imports a while ago.

Nobles will do you a very good job. Derek, the bodyshop manager has done, shall we say "a bit of work" for me on my car on occasions and is very thorough. He insists on taking his time with a job and will not rush it, there is lots of hand work done on the car in prep and their sprayer is excellent, with a great colour match always and better than standard paint finish.
The car will no doubt be in for about 10 days, if they get the parts easier - your insurance "approved" repairer would shove the car out in 3 or 4 days - that says it all.
One other thing - you won't get a courtesy car from Nobles (they do not do them for bodyshop) but I would advise you to contact Helphire - they are used by Nobles, will give you a courtesy car of similar size to yours and gaurantee that even if the worst comes to the worst and the claim falls on its face you will not be charged anything for the courtesy car etc. They also will provide legal protection, advice and personal injuries follow through for you at no cost to you (well, it's £10 for the Angel policy - but that is it).
Tell Derek that Brian Morris recommended him - he'll know who I am. He has seen my silver MY03 WRX a "few" times. Good luck in getting it repaired. It will look as good as new after Nobles.

It always does - at least you got some benefit from it last night although your guts may not think so today
Several good articles on EVO's in this months Jap Performance, which plopped through the post this morning, including the FQ400 review, a £2000 package for the VIII 260 to take it to 320 BHP (£22,000 for 320 BHP - not bad at all) and several other cars too.
Cath you later,
Brian

<< Wullie, although we didn't speak tonight, good to see you and the mrs.
A good night, expertly topped off with a large donner kebab, with everything on it
>>
I take it the kebab did not land on the floor or seats of the Scenic?
Or the street?

<< its good to see new faces when going to meets
good to meet u's that was there dont know any of ur names but i know u's will post them up
wullie & claire >>
You too Wullie,
I was the guy you met when you came in the door (Brian aka WRXMania), John (EVOJKP) was the BIG guy sitting beside me. Johnny 50 was sitting in front of me and at the end of the table was John (Mr NTS) and the mysterious guy who popped his head round the door for 2 minutes was the infamous Stevie (West Lothian Scoob). Dave (Kartman) came along not long after you guys left. Keith (aka) Stiks could not make it.
Oh yeah - you and Claire and Grant too - but assume you know that
Speak to you more hopefully at the meet at Fenwick on Tuesday if you're going
Brian
-
Keep it moving along Dougs!!
-
Full decat, remap, knocklink and a boost controller - almost the same price with probably better results too
Brian
-
Good to see all you guys tonight. Thanks for coming along.

<< Brian - would ditching the BB alone produce a decent sound ? I heard an Sti box on it's on and t was fairly quiet. Suppose a C&C job would be a "freer" breather and therefore a tad noiser?
Have used C&C before and they're spot on
Cal >>
OH YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! It most certainly would. I have a 3" cat back angled exit system from them and after several systems it is much "copied" and sounds the business - all cats in place too !!! SOOOOPPPPEEEERBBBBB!!!
C&C are the business - tell them you want one like mine and they will know exactly what you want - they are the boys!
Anyone want to vouch for the sound??
The backbox is your main sound generator - if you added a Blitz Nur Spec R you'd certainly hear it
Brian

A F Nobles Subaru in Penicuik - very good bodyshop.
Insist it goes there.
Brian

See you if you get out alive Dave
Brian

No probs Del,
Next time - Johnny50 and hopefully Dave (Kartman) are coming along too
Keith aka Stiks may pop along - he is in London at the moment
Any other takers?

Sorry to hear that Jamie,
Looks like your not the only one to be "scraped" by the weather either
Hope it does not hold up the sale too much.
