    Crikey! that a lot of mods for 277bhp! My old wagon made over 300 bhp and 240 lb/ft with- Complete de-cat, back box, walbro fuel pump, fse regulator,fcd, and manual boost controller running 17 psi. Not many mods but it worked, and to upset the nerds...I ran it on normal unleaded for 2 years aswell! only used super for crail/knockhill etc. Col.

    Just driven from Pitlochry to Dundee, took a very long time! The A9 is shut just north of Pitlochry and it aint too clever at Dunkeld either, 30 mph most of the way[] Pitlochry- A9 at dunkeld Col.

    Mine isnt knocking on tickover but as soon as you rev it,it knocks a fair bit, think it is saveable with a rebuild. If its knocking really bad you will prob need a new short block.

    What sort of knocking? coming from the bottom of the engine? Dont drive it whatever you do, get a good mechanic to have a listen. My big end bearings went last weekend, V5 type r, not good[:'(] Col.

    I was also having this problem last week on my type r, got a new maf fitted on friday then had a major prob with the car on Saturday but dont think this was related to that. MAF sensors are about £80 and you can fit it yourself in about 10 mins. Dealers will have then in stock I would think. Col.

    I had a wee look at that p1 when I was in getting paint the other week. Recaros, Brembos etc,very nice, pity about the price though!
