  3. Accident was in the 2nd XR2 race, Iain Fraser was leading when I think he was clipped by 2nd place guy just after the bridge resulting in him hitting the tyre wall and rolling very heavily, Iains brother Scott and there dad was also in the race. Iain and scott are marshalls and instructors at knockhill so know them quite well, it took about 20mins to get him out the car as you cant chop the roof off because of the cage. They had to unbolt the seat and take him out the boot before putting him in the ambulance, he was in a neck brace and on oxygen but was conscious. Fingers crossed he will be ok, hopefully just concussion and a lot of bruising. Worse thing was his mum and sister were in the crowd and saw the whole thing, i missed it as i was at the bottom of duffus but saw a tyre about 50ft in the air!
  4. You must have got up early to catch the oldies! I am just back from the motor racing at knockhill, usual carnage, unfortunately resulting in a friend of mine ending up in Hospital[] Col.

  11. Just a warning for anybody thinking about using Target tyres in Perth for there geometry/alignment etc DONT!!! They set mine up after getting the teins fitted, over the next few days the car started handling like a 3 legged goat so I took it to a garage to get it up on the ramps to see what was wrong....the front n/s camber bolts were finger tight and the rear o/s ones were also loose!!! there was over an inch of play on the front wheel. I have video evidence of this on my mobile if anybody would like to see it tomorrow! The car was taken back to target and re-aligned and tightened up, handling still wasnt right so was put back on ramps at garage today and guess what? front o/s was loose! Target were called and they werent interested! The problem here is that the mechanic/fitter/gimp at target doesnt have enough strength in his useless little body to tighten these bolts up and judging by there reaction today they dont give a s**t if they are putting unroadworthy and dangerous cars on the road. So thats a warning to you all. Although most of you already knew how crap they are. Thank you and I will see you all tomorrow, although i wont be driving my scoob as I have had enough of it and will be putting it off the road until the new year. Col.

  15. My rear wheel bearings are sounding a bit knackered and am having a bit of trouble getting replacements. Have any other Type r owners replaced them before? Type r bearings are seemingly very different to 4 door/wagon bearings. Also, are they the same as P1 bearings? Col.
