  2. Anybody done Brazil offshore?

Yep - 9 months on a Deepwater Drillship for Petrobras........................... work was hard but the "crew change" made up for it.

Copa Cabana - OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH YES!

  3. It can be adjusted? Is this a Dealer tweak , or aftermarket modification?

Aftermarket mod. you can remove the OE Bias valve and gives more balanced braking.

Fitting an adjustable Bias valve allows you to fine tune the raking to your desire.

  4. Russel I am using a TY754 box at the minute and had no clearance issues, may be down the make of up-pipe fitted

If you got a NEW 20G then Andy (AFAIK) grinds down the area on the Turbo the makes contact so it'll already have been done for you B)

I've had issues with 20g's using OE uppipe and aftermarket (GT Spec and H&S) uppipe in the past so may not necessarily be that but thatks for the info :)

  5. TY754 boxes (MY98-) and TY756 (6-speed) boxes need the removal of a peice of the box where on of the mounting bolts for the box goes in. Use a Chisel and Hammer as its easier.... If it comes with the Newage Coolant pipework, there aren't any fitment issues there.

Just make sure all holes (uppipe, Oil return, etc) are fully covered up before removing the peice of the box as you don't want metal, etc getting in there.

5 bolts for D/P to Turbo, 3 bolts for Turbo to U/P.

ps - if it is an with the old style housing on the 20g (polished flat area on the Compressor housing on the top right as you look at the Compresssor housing face-on). then chances are it is a large oulet nipple on the Compressor wheel for the Boost control. Make sure you fit the vacuum hose (make it 40cm as a precaution) BEFORE fitting the turbo as it is harder to install afterwards.

  6. Callum - now pushing Tools so moved on a little from last time we met.

The Aussies are good fun to work with but the old myth of them being hard gratfers is also bu114h!t. Majority of the are some of the slackest workers on the planet, more interested in beer and women than anything else.

Still - beats working in India................................ just B)

    Stay safe m8!

ps - sorry for the off-topic Peter..................................... but I'm sure it'll be a while before a running report is available ;)

  7. Hello Russell!

Have you been tying any Kangaroo's down recently? We had a guy out your way doing a job for BHP.(Obviously not your bhp)

    Callum

    ;) no m8 but I thought about sh@gging a wallaby.......

Actually spent the Winter down here with the wife and daughter and absolutely loved it.................. pool in the back garden, beer in the fridge.

My daughters swimming skills came on immensely whilst out there ( benefits of their "State Swim" program), she is now 3 and has the swimming skill of Inverurie 2 years older than her.

I'd move in a heartbeat and live in OZ permanently................................................... but 54% tax on my payscale is a killer B)
