  1. Funny that - they ran fine for 4 months on a MY97 UK car (Phase1.5, same as Phase 1) so something isn't quite right somewhere.. Funny that - the 2 sets of injectors sold prior to your ones and the other 7 sets of injectors I have sold since then have fitted right intot the cars they were asked to fit into. Fair enough, don't buy any injectors from me again. I am sure your friends at the "rally preparation" garage will sort you out with a fine set for an excellent price. Russell
  2. You could stick with your current injectors and get the fuel pressure increased **Edited as someone feels they have an axe to grind so I'll respect his opinion** Russell
  3. Frank- - what's gettting fitted? Russell
  4. Pete - get it mapped and enjoy it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Russell
  5. [O][] Russell
  6. Pete - so all the trouble was just the Woodruff Key? BLIMEY! - never had that happen before. Lucky there wasn't some major damage to the car. All that aggro for a £2 item that takes 15 minutes to fit. DOH! I was about to call you as I am now back but it seems that I am not needed....Nice one! Russell
  7. You need to move it back and down to be able to get in about to remove the Clutch and Flywheel (failing to change out the flywheel for an exchange one from AWD is FOOLISH!, seeing as the box is off.) but it can stay on the jack The Driveshafts are kept in place on the Gearbox splines by a dowel pin that runs right through the Driveshaft body about 1" from where it meets the gearbox. Tap these right out to be able to remove the driveshaft. There isn't enough room to remove the Driveshaft in situ, so once you have splitted it from the Engine, move the box back about 5" and you'll have the room to remove the Driveshafts one at a time. I'll assume you know that you need to remove the Propshaft, linkage, etc? Russell
  8. I know I didn't fit the STi TMIC but Craig told me months ago that you had got an STi TMIC and fitted it M8! Good result none the less. Russell
  9. 1 man job.................longest I've needed is 6 hours. Box out job that is! Russell
  10. Changing the front Crank Oil seal is nly an extra hour (at most) on top of timing belt change time! Russell
  11. You sure its the front Crank Seal that they have quoted the time for and not the rear one? Russell
  12. Didn't realise it was a secret, judging by the way you were talking about it in front of everyone. I do know that when this project of yours is finished, it will be a MONSTER![] I'll have to steer clear of it. Russell
  13. EH? Kev had an STI TMIC fitted didn't he? Oh well, still put out a VERY GOOD RESULT! Nice one Kev! Russell
  14. OOPS! Cat + Bag + out + of Russell
  15. ERR.....................................................................338[:$] Russell
  16. Didn't think the Cosworth built EJ25 needed a new crank Craig[] Russell
  17. Cal uses less boost throughout the rev range. Cal runs a 100 CEL Sportscat. Cal runs a WRX TMIC. It all adds up! Russell
  18. Believe who you want M8, its your money In the past year, there are well over 10 people who have 2.5's with STANDARD Cranks and are running 500+bhp I helped build a 2.5 up here last year into an STi8 and she's running 490/480 @ 1.5 bar and there is loads left in the engine on its OE Crank. Forged Crank? that's a new one. Russell ps - ask those who have high revving 2.35 engines ( I am one of them) what Crank they are using!
  19. Andy - sorry I couldn't turn round and have a chat with you but was one a time scale to get to Fintray on time. Shame about John ST and his car troubles at Fintray, but hopefully it isn't terminal and he'll be up for tomorrow! Russell
  20. Pistons are a must, rods are a nice idea for big boost but THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE 2.5 CRANK!! Russell ( happy to have been proven he was right all along!)
  21. (Thinks to self) OH, my - Gumballs figures were slightly out then! (stops thinking to self) 2.5 is a nice idea but for the STi, you'll need new pistons to replace the cack hypereutectic ones they have! Russell
  22. Give it a try M8 - if all else fails, you can call me and I'll pop round with some advice. Either Box-out or engine-out is easy. 5 hour job in total including bleeding the Clutch to new fluid. Pheel - 5 speed boxes are easier as they are a load lighter! Russell
  23. OR "Little Einsteins" and the new favourite. . . . . . . . LAZYTOWN AARGH! My Erin has just started saying DA! DA! DA! DA! DA! - and I'm bloody stuck out here in India for another week! Russell
  24. John ST is right.....they can be taken out with the engine in the car (I've done it once!)..............but there's a little "jiggery pokery" needed! Easier to just to pull the engine. Russell
  25. Dan - if I thought the gent in question had been on here, read this and not contacted Craig by means other than Text Messages then I for one would think Craig had every right to feel how he does. TBH - I feel that Craig will honour his post and will publicly apologise to the guy when (or IF) he concludes the deal. Good luck Craig. Russell ps - if he wants to pass on this machine over a few words then he is a fool! - this car rocks and is worth any amount of aggro once you've been for a run in it!.........I SHOULD KNOW[:|]
