Hi chaps, Does anyone have a scooby doo over what brands of racing brake fluid are blue? I need to top up my resevoir, and have no specific details on the type/ brand previously used. (Doh!!!) Guidance on who might stock such is welcome. Thanks, Phil.

Well..........perhaps an electronic gizmo, box, thingy to replace the 'dodgy solenoid' boost actuator control. And a few bitties ready to fit such as V4 splitter/ polished slam panel plate/ PIAA dual tone horns (& get rid of the bleedin constipated OEM ones) and a set of NGK Iridiums to help with BHP a little better. Really want to get hold of a pair of hydraulic bonnet stays from Milsport, but I can't spend any more 'til after the MOT in May.

Most the engine work was thanks to a small mechanic shop down in Doncaster. As the engine was of a high mileage it was stripped down and rebuilt with a 7kg fly wheel, omega pistons. It uses yellow injectors, Walpro pump and an FSE type regulator. After that it's pretty much down to the replacement Steve Simpson mapped 'GEM's' ecu board, and the front mount intercooler. No MAF, just takes it's intake reading from manifold. Has the old Ninja SS cat-less system. Oh & not forgetting the sonar Lexus lights with give it that extra 15bhp [:$]. Still I did say things are done on a shoe-string... http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g69/pm95...print220406.jpg Big thanks the comments guys.

Had the car on the rollers on Saturday, and there it is just over 292 at the flywheel, and good fuel delivery too. Not bad for a shoe-string budget, and beats my old STi V5. Again well chuffed. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g69/pm95...adpic220406.jpg

Thought that the WRX was a vented rear disc, but the pad may still fit the caliper. Best to wait for the experts to come along shortly. If you can't find the pads listed on a drop down menu, best give Camskill a call. Their delivery is pretty rapid too.

Has anyone mentioned Camskill for price and availability. They have deals on Tein and much more.[:D] www.camskill.co.uk

Any one for a black Wagon R? -
Pictures...That would be good. Where do you guys recommend to buy from? Tryin to avoid the ebay route if possible. [*-)]

Yup. This is this sort of advice I was after. I assume then that those being advertised for around £600 are the look-a-like type and not the real deal? Although again I assume the 'carbon style' such as yours 'Iqy' are a laminated material? i.e.: not metal? Ultimately, I'm after saving weight, and yes the look is part of the idea too, particularly with my OEM bonnet in need of cosmetic touch-up anyway. Keep the info coming and thanks.

Hi, Any recommendations for a good product, good fit, pro's & con's living with a carbon fibre bonnet? I appreciate the more you spend... and so on, but is there a happy medium jobbie out there that you guys are aware of or have tried? [:$] Thanks in advance. pm9575

O/T - Places to stay in Aberdeenshire/Morayshire

To be honest, there are a few decent B&B's dotted around all over these parts, and especially Banff may prove a good location. You've got a pretty broad run if Buckie, Aberdeen, and Peterhead are to be commuted to - so again try Banff, Macduff. Search the Scottish Tourist info site for B&B's perhaps? Good luck. -
Get onto Turriff Tyres (PF Alloys), excellent prices on Toyos or cheaper brands, all fitted, etc. If you want just the tyres for another to fit (i.e.: Turriff not convenient to get to - look at Camskill 'on line', just do a search). pm9575

Yum, would you know if that deal is still available? Who do I contact? pm9575 -
Can't AWD help with this? Or is the infamous Steve Simpson Motorsport the only route? [au]

Hello, This must be old school stuff, but what are the do's and dont's for the release of the OEM air bag from a 97 UK classic. And I don't mean drive into a wall [] - trying to swap the steering wheel without a trip to local A&E. Your knowledge would be appreciated. pm9575

Hello, Yes you are correct, the £8k represents the very least I can/ would wish to sell for. I bought my car in May 04, for 8.5k and have spent circa £2+k since on improvements - which most Scooby owners would - or have to anyway in order to pacify the insurance people. My ownership is the first in the UK, and I've treated her with much respect - great car. If you would like any specific info, feel free to call me direct at home: 01542 842759 (nr Aberdeen), or leave further reply on the forum. Thanks for your interest.

Would be pleased to entertain any interested parties for my white STi wagon - pretty high factory spec car with approx 76 odd tho' miles on the clock. The car is clean, no leaks and all full working order. My local Impreza specialist had inspected the car in August, and had no negative feedback. The cam belt and clutch were changed May 04 (circa 68k). The MOT & TAX run until May 05. The only changes made to the factory STi spec are 57i kit, carbon air intake (Skoop), Bailey polished dump valve venting to air, clear lenses to front, and gold 17" multi-spokes, plus a few tarty bits to the interior. Plugs, oil(s) all changed. Tracker, and CAT1 (full rcl). The car has air con, electric folding mirrors, wind defelectors, and additional factory fitted extensions to the side skirts. The large bore SS tail pipe even carries the STi logo too. Looking for offers in the region of £8.5k No px - (the money is required for home improvements, and I don't use the car). The car has been garaged since being in the UK, and currently not used (under car cover) since November - so no salt to corrode the clean chassis. Please save me from the numpty people from the 'open market' as the car would be better appreciated I'm by an SIDC member and who know what the car really is!

Hi to all at the Scottish Scoobies Forum, I have my 1998 V5 STi wagon up for sale, in white with gold 17" multi spokes. The car is a very good factory spec example, c/w the side skirt extensions all colour coded, electric folding mirrors, double din size Kenwood CD/ tape - all pretty usual Jap factory spec. Approx. 78 tho' miles on the clock. I've added a Bailey dump valve, 57i kit, carbon air intake and the usual Tracker, CAT1 rcl alarm, clear lenses, etc. In fact spent £2K since buying from JVS back in May'04. The MOT and Tax run until May'05 Money required for repairs to the house, so looking for £8K, no px. Pictures available plus other details upon request - either contact me through forum or phone 01542 842 759. * I'm situated nr Buckie, or Aberdeen. Thanks for your time and Merry Christmas.
