CSIOM can you recommend anywhere for an My95 ecu remap? (Closest to South coast as possible) just passed 60k on my import and scared to death now!

Appreciate all your help guys, seems like lots of knowledgable forum members out there! took it on a longer (and fairly vigorous) run today and seems to have improved, power is def up and stronger boost at low revs, still intend to get it checked out tho. btw anyone know of any scooby/performance specialists in the south? I live in Eastbourne on the south coast and would prefer to have the car worked on by experts rather than the local garages who don't deal with these issues day to day. Seems most of your are much further North! thanks again Mark

Hi everyone need to call on your expert knowledge! After much delibarating and searching through the forum I have just fitted a scoobyworld afterburner full decat system and pipercross panel filter with disappointing results it SOUNDS great but I have found the following problems: -the engine will now not rev freely through the gears, appears not to want to rev much past 5k (all gears) when it used to shoot straight round to the red easily. -the turbo seems less effective not providing as much boost as it used to, and the dump valve only sounds occasionally. The scoob is an MY95 import. your help would be greatly appreciated as I was expecting better performance not worse! not as if these mods were cheap either. all I can think is the ecu needs resetting? but unsure how to do this..

£700 sounds too high, I pay £650 fully comp on my wrx import with mods. (28 with full ncb) Thats through Tesco, they gave the cheapest quote by far

Looked at an evo before getting the scoob but it was 5k more, same age with higher mileage. couldnt justify the extra expense as well as the running costs. Many people I have spoken to regard the evo as the enemy, along with cossies in some cases. Couldn't care less personally, the evo and scoob are both great cars

now that is a nice looking scoob. dont see many two doors and the styling mods look great

does anyone know how to check if the ecu on a scoob import has been remapped? bought it privately and have always run it on optimax but until joining the forum had no idea that it should be remapped. also has anyone had it done and where/how much? thanx for any advice you can give me

Looking at the jap-innovations website link they talk about a 'lambda link' in addition to the knocklink. Is this device also needed on an import? I am also looking to upgade the scoob but want to ensure its safety first

Tough to insure the import I found, couldn't get a quote under £2000 for a while until I checked out Tescos - 28 years, 7 years n.c.d, parked on road. They did want a cat 1 alarm/imobiliser (which it had) and a tracker installed (which is £300 and £100 a year subscription.) anyway final quote £660. Awesome, Tesco's kick arse. Borrowed the cash to buy it from them too

From Eastbourne on south coast, not a good area for tuning/upgrades as there are no specialists down here hence joining the forum to get some decent advice, just found out the Subaru dealership nearest me (100 miles away!) charge the earth for servicing and are not very helpful with enquiries

thanx for the advice guys, so can anyone recommend where to locate a new ecu? and which exhaust is best for power gains and a decent sound? mine is blowing and needs replacing asap

Hello to all scoob owners, new to the forum and lookin for info on upgrading my 280 bhp import, about to change exhaust and filter and need advice on what the best options are. have heard that I need to be careful what changes I make as it could put too much strain on the turbo. currently looking at blitz nurspec r exhaust and blitz induction kit. good option? if anyone has an import and has made these changes with positive results would love to hear about it. all help and advice greatly appreciated!
