  1. Hey judgey, How much did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking? The reason I ask is that my STi8 PPP is going to be on the market next week and it sounds similar to what you've just bought (53 reg, 6800 miles etc..etc..). Good luck with it anyways, PPP is definately the way to go. Would like to keep mine but I've been offered some shares in the company I work for at a silly price and it could mean £50K in a couple of years (at which point I will become a Scooby-owner again! ) Zoo
  2. I'm 28 and I have an STi 8 PPP... although perhaps not for much longer! Can you beat £798 fully comp on insurance Brill??
  3. Steve700: Yep, that day it certainly did! SCOOBYTOO: Thanks for the figures. I guess it's probably best to ask the Garage what they'll give me for it as they know the car well. They have a 15k '03 STi for £23,450 so I'll probably have more luck selling it to them than privately.
  4. I guess they will start selling once the new reg comes out in March? Even if I did decide to sell, it wouldn't be until March anyway so I can wait until then.
  5. Hi all, I'm thinking of selling my STi and wondered if any of you can suggest what it might be worth. It's spent almost all of its short life either locked in my garage or pottering to and from work at 40mph. It's for this reason that I think something different would be more suitable! It was first registered in Dec '03 so it's just over 12 months old. It has both the Prodrive Performance Pack and Prodrive Spring Kit so it was just under £27,500 new. It naturally has a fully Subaru service history and has covered just 4787 miles. How much can I expect to get? TIA!
  6. Well there I was thinking I'd got the best quote going....and..... Subaru Assured beat it!! £798.55 fully comp with protected NCD!!!!! Bargain!!!!! WHooohoooo!!!
  7. Sorry Blue Boy, couldn't resist.... Damn good quote though.... chuffed with that... !
  8. Oh dear... I guess I shouldn't expect too much of a discount for the next quarter of a century then?!? LOL
  9. Indeed.... I remember paying £800 third party for an ex-police Escort 1.3 Popular that came with 250,000 miles on the clock and a dent in the side. Memories...
  10. Just rang Direct Line for a quote as my Insurance is up on the 18th... I was dreading it but was pleasantly surprised!!! (for a change) MY03 STi UK PPP with Spring Kit 28, 3 points, 1 claim (doh!), 7 years nc. £850 fully comp with protected nc, hire car, legal etc? (nearly £500 cheaper than last year!!!!) Bargain! Without the mods it was £750. Is there anywhere else that might be able to beat it?
  11. Thanks for the reply Chrisp, I'll ask them when I get the reg changed!
  12. Ahhhhh! I've just noticed the reg on my insurance docs is wrong! I think I'm gonna have to give 'em a call!
  13. Hi everyone, I picked up my Sti back in December 2003 and to date, I?ve covered just 3,000 miles. I?ve not made any effort to keep the mileage down? it just turned out that way. I?m guessing that this would be good news for my Insurance Company, Subaru Insured (Schofield). Am I going to be looking at any significant discounts over last year?s £1300?? Thanks for any help!
  14. Hi all, it?s been a while! I?m thinking of ditching my Nokia 7210 and upgrading to a 7610 as it?s a pretty funky looking phone. All simple stuff really. However, I have a car kit installed which, to be honest, is pretty damn ugly. Some of you who saw the photos a while back will know what I mean (especially the dodgy wiring)! So, I guess Bluetooth is the way forward. Can anyone suggest what kit is best, how much it costs, and where it?s supposed to go in the car?? Is there a special Impreza bracket that I?ll need?? Thanks for any help!
  15. *ahem* Let me see, my STi is now just over six months old, has covered just 2,500 miles and? - I smoke in it, perhaps a little too much as the interior is covered in ash. - I think there?s a bit of lettuce under the seat which dates from a McDonalds in April (probably also £50 in loose change). - It?s also used as a lorry when I want to take old junk to the tip. - There?s a blood stain on the back seat where I stabbed myself in the finger with a rusty old nail from a bit of wood whilst doing the above (I?ve not yet been able to get the stain out yet ? anyone tried using Vanish?). - There?s still a scrape on the rear bumper where I reversed into a Rover in a car park (which I admitted to and paid for the Rover?s repairs, naturally). It is garaged though, and I?ll eventually get round to cleaning it.
