  1. LOL, Wilky your so posh !!!

I thought we had seen the last of this thread but alas.........it seems the Giro Busters are back for more.

    10,000+ interest circa £12,500

    over 60 months

    208 quid a month

    52 quid a week.

Aye we're all so posh you chocolate frog we even have parties where we bring our own drink and then dont have to walk home !! Its a riot

  2. Not much else happening so thought i would start a thread that we could all join in with.

The question is....................WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP? AND DID IT HAPPEN AND WHY NOT?

I wanted to be a fighter pilot for the RAF and fly Tornados. Did it happen?

I never stuck in at school or get to Uni. Had it been for that i would have given it a go. I joined the Army instead

  3. LOL, i remember that day. good fun. That should be part of the scottish scoobies commuting thread i think.

Even a simple run home from work in a scoob can turn to mayhem.

    Another-

Whilst driving on the track at night"a single headlight behind me closing in fast. The myserious vehicle was gaining on me very very fast.I slowed down a touch to allow it to catch up.Next thing i see is a fire red DUCATI 999R sitting right on the offside of the winerack spoiler. The guy was leaning so far forward to keep low he was almost horizontal !!!We approached a long long long sweeping left hander where i thought he was going to take me.I pumped up the jam relying heavily on the suspension upgardes on teh deathstar and hammered on the power through the bend. To my suprise the DUCATI backed off and the driver slowed to change his shorts. Coming out of the bend i looked down and the speedo and realised why he had closed the throttle off a touch. The needle marking speed had positioned itself off the clock on the scoob !!!!!

This was after teh days when the limiter kicked in and fuel cut was an issue in relation to 165mph. This was the fastest i had/have ever been and estimate about 170-180mph.Yes i was a year or so younger than i am today and enjoyed the rush, but at the same time i wouldnt do it again.

I just thank my lucky starts the Toyos could take it and i had my helmet on with stewards close by to monitor the safety aspects of the circuit !![:P]

Finally- WHilst racing with Wilky in the pax seat the day he got back from the USA, we appraoched a ferrari 350 spider, slowing down to gesture that he "have a go if he thought he could". The ferrari driver looked at us and signalled that we were on !! We thought at the time we were defo punching above our weight but accelerated hard as the farrari adopted a line right behind us.The ferrari closed on me for a couple of seconds before dropping further and further to the rear until he eventually had to give up. We were whooping and hollering like a couple of handbags off the rikki lake show as we realised we had destroyed over 70k worth of sports car. He appeared again as we reduced speed to show us his happy face and demand that we go again. Dont know if he jumped a gear, dont know if his car wssnt a fast enough for the 400 odd ponies but it was amusing and i hope he left and went home and traded in for an STI. lol

  4. lube whit?

Take it off and uncsrew it. Have a loof inside then blow any stuff out, before putting it back on.

There could be soemthing not opening inside or such like.

Put if back onto the intercooler and try and drive it.

If that doesnt work, then in my experience your going to have to take it back to the dealer and hope they exchange it.

or get a new one. FORGE isnt too expensive and works well. If you do have the cash then i would get an HKS SSQV
