  1. I hear syvecs is the way to go and nice to see project rb500 still lives in HP terms if nothing else lol :)

Although I dont think youl be on here tonight as congrats are in order I believe mate - as long as the bride didnt do a runner anyway lol ;)

  2. follow Chris's advice mate, I really emjoyed my first stint there this year in the rain, made it a lot easier on the tyres and everyone was being a bit more considerate so was a great intro. Il be doing a few next year, alomst certainly the first one so feel free to come along and have a pax :)

dont want the fuel to drop much below a third of a tank or you will start to get it cutting out in the corners :)

  3. Certainly the reason I have mine, watching him throwing L555 BAT through the forests was what took me from the path of VAG to scoobship

And as someone who has helped out with the Mcrae Vision charity and been fortunate enough to meet some of the family and also have friends who worked and played with him its a loss to the whole motorsport community and all families involved - can guarantee Colin would want to be remembered for what he was, first British Champion and the youngest ever as well :icon_salut:

  4. From the people that brought you the Highland Fling.....

As a bit of a season closer up here I thought I would see what interest I could get in an overnight run, similar format to the fling just shorter and closer to home for a lot of you.

As the roads wont be quite so desolate I'm keeping the route strictly under wraps but departure point will be Glasgow on October the 26th, around 120 miles to overnight stop where there will be drinks and dinner and a general knees up then around 120 miles on sunday finishing at Stirling

    So who's up for it?

  5. Jeez Andy, what were you drinking? pints of vpower? :P you heading up to kames on sunday?

Sooooo good to see such a positive thread and not just the usual suspects either, as Barry said the predictors of doom have always been there - in fact as far as the scottish section goes I remember scoobynet saying very publicly we'd never last as part of SIDC.......suppose it has only been the 11 years :D

  6. ok so half the complaints on here are about it being too cliquey, in jokes from people who know each other and those who dont feeling left out and the other half is complaints from people about there not being enough banter and piss taking like there used to be in the good old days?

sounds to me like damned if you do damned if you dont.......

The heart of the whole problem is people dont have the time, money or will power to get out to meets all the time - sidc was always driven by meets and runs and the online banter and busyness came from people having met at meets and knowing each other

SIDC is a drivers club for driving and getting out, not for keyboard warriors - look at the major events it attends, .net, ayrshirescoobs, aberdeen scoobs are all good forums but I dont see them attending rallyday, japfest, JAE etc or running their own trackdays regularaly - THATS where we are different and if you dont like that well you cant please all of the people all of the time, just ask anyone who's married.....
