  1. yep ive spent the last two years driving my girlfriend crazy looking at everything from a leon tdi to an a4 3.0 tdi as i keep getting fed up with the running costs. and what have i bought? an 05 sti! face-icon-small-happy.gif

like gus said, your only here once, make the most of it

  2. looks like the afterburners getting the vote so far!

hi craig, ive turned on my pm now

thanks for the offer of the demo corsa. im just outside perth, whereabouts are you? banging and popping is the way i want to go, my last scoob did it all the time. made every trip feel like a special stageface-icon-small-smile.gif

p1ggm, are you round about kirriemuir? i think i was seeing you when i was working over there last year

  3. S.o.r.r.y f.o.r t.h.a.t D.o.u.g.s.t.e.rface-icon-small-wink.gif and thanks to Andy for his defence of the new kid in the playground. I didnt realise there was so much computer etequtte to learn!

I shouldve picked up the sti tomorow but it aint quite ready. I now have that feeling you get as a kid when santa doesnt come down the chimmney,ho hum!

  4. thanks guys(and gals) ive got a few days to go before i take delivery, so just enough time to pick a backbox for it,any recomendations? ive got used to running a full decat, which il sell before i p/x if anyones interested, so the louder the better!

  5. howdy, ive been hovering around the edges of here for a while so i thought id finally say hi properly! ive been trying to decide whether or not to hold onto my my00 for a while, you know how it is, and the increasing likliehood of having to replace bits and the insurance and fuel have finally decided it,so having decided on an a3 tdi as a sensible choice ive bought a brand new sti instead. hence the title. so, deep breath and, my name is dave and ive been doing impreza for five years now, i told myself i could quit at any time and i didnt need to mod it...

  6. yup,as far as i know its a short stretch to test it.also coincedentally the most popular section for bikes doing big speeds, theyve been using helicopters for the bikes the last two summers. i heard it through the guys who service my bike but i havent seen anything official im the papers. but if theyre in the cats eyes and they use the timing between two points a mile apart theres no hiding from them, itd ruin one of my favourite roads

  7. as above, looking for recomendations for someone who has a real passion for imprezas to help me get the most out of my my00 without treating me as a cash cow. i know doing it properly aint cheap, but i also know that i wont get 50bhp from a dump valve...its got a full decat at the moment and i want to check everythings running as it should before i start modding. im based outside perth and ideally could do with someone with flexible hours as i normally work 7-7 six days a week. so what says the collected scottish scoobies wisdom?

  8. Hi there, no need to panic, you can still get optimax in perth its just not as handy. theres a shell opposite perth prison, next to the mitsubishi garage, but it aint 24 hours. dont know why thevye changed from shell, the prices they charged it should have been a gold mine!

  9. caught!! i was indeed inside, but only with the works pickup! however fancy a change and mitsi are offering more money for my classic than town and county will against an sti8 so an evo it may be. the 6 is a nice car, had a run in a tommi mak and was very impressed, not so sure about the 8 tho.

altho i aint sure i can afford to change all the jackets shirts hats pics etc, etc!!

  10. much sympathy for you, bloody ditches!! last year iwas halfway round a bend in my beloved and hit standing water, tyres let go and car goes for a spin. it span onto the verge backwards and against a dyke which slowed it down, so there i am sliding along the verge, slowing down and thinking time for a new boot and bumper when the wheel digs into a deep drain going across the verge and flips the car upside down rolling it right over the dyke. cue one very dead scooby and one very lucky driver! although it did look kinda good with the lowered roofline...
