I personally don't think the turbo is goosed but other thing needs to be looked at. Also i'm surprised that AndyF couldn't see what the problem is.

Thanks for the comments...you have inspired me with your old car. I saw sleepersy running his car TOTB last week and it was going mega good. TBH time scale is not my real worry anymore so it's just a case of whenever it's ready, it's ready! But august or september will be good,great. I hope you come back to the fold sometime and keep safe mate.

I have done a little research before the project has started and then have spoken to both Pat Hepburn and Paul Blairmore about my plans and they both have given advise which i thank them for greatly.AndyF has also been contacted has given his advise. They have pointed out the advantages of going front mounted turbo and the obvious one being the shorted header pipes to aid the spool up of the turbo. A typical front mounted turbo setup may gain upto 700rpm in spool up time iirc so its well worth it when the turbo is a little larger than normal. Plus to run a twin scroll turbo in the rotated position i may need to loss the brake servo and replace it with a pedal box.And it may be extremely difficult to run two external wastegates in that position as Sleepersy runs a twin scroll/single wastegate setup. As for gains against cost,it's always going to be steep when you get above the 500bhp level but i am sponsered.

1 month is the dead line!

Here is a wee update from the past wee while. As usual stuff always take longer than forcasted but as this is not an off the shelf mod it is to be expected. Got the headers and exhaust back from ceramic coating and big thanks to Wullie @ Meercat for sorting it out. And all fitted back on to the car.This pic also shows the support that is being fabricated to support the custom rad and fmic combo.The cradle will be able to be detacted from the car holding both the rad and fmic in one big unit. Some more close up shots of the coating. Now just waiting for the intercooler to arrive from the USA and the next part can be done.

Yes the BBQ will be ace. Car is coming along slowly.
