  1. I spoke to Wullie @ Meercat today when i was getting a heat shield made up for my RCM induction kit. He says SNAKEHEAD DOWNPIPE WITH 100 CELL CAT IS £430 FITTED to a 3inch or 2 1/2 system or you could get a SNAKEHEAD DOWNPIPE AND A 100 CELL CAT IN THE FRONT PIPE to a 3inch or 2 1/2inch system. Personally i would go for the 2nd option as then the snakehead will have a better flow.

  10. Well asaid Chris and i'm glad you enjoyed yourself as i didn't because i was 2 man down at my wee busy restaurant.
  11. The heat shield should keep the engine heat away from the filter. But once your car is moving i think there is plenty of cold air rushing through your engine bay which is why RCM reccomend the big the BIG filter. With the inner winger mounted filter you are limited to the size of the filter that fits in the wing.So BIG filters will need to stay in the engine bay.
  12. Cal...Get the proper subaru gaskets from the dealer as they are best available

  15. Snakehead is the design of the open neck down pipe. Here is a picture of one and yes there are better than what they say.
  16. I've a Meercat decatted snakehead and 3inch system and backbox built to my spec.Sorry but i like it quiet. I also have a Gruppe S header and Power XS Up pipe. All well worth doing.[]
  17. Yes Gordy you can get one to fit your car but you need to get the trumpet with the MAF sensor. They do one in a kit form but come with the slightly shorter K & N filter. And it's a 80mm pipe.
  18. That is for the Defi boost gauge me.I've been told that is the most accurate place for getting the boost reading(inlet manifold)
  19. Gus:If you want i can organise a Meercat catted downpipe for you and the price will include fitting and what ever else you need. You may be suprise how good value it is.
  20. The car is actually smoother to drive. The APS use to make some dunking noise on part throttle which is now gone.A bit quietier too but still dumps through it all the same. Note there is no MAF sensor on the trumpet. Has your's got the MAF sensor on it Andy? When can you take me out for a spin m8????
  21. Let's get the speed bump flattened[A]
  22. I got a Roger Clark Motorsport induction kit to replace my APS CAI because i don't need the MAF sensor as the GEMS ECU use a MAP sensor instead. It's a very large K & N filter with a 80mm trumpet and it's own SAMCO hose. Spoke to Olly from RCM and he took great time be explain the question i asked him.Great guy.Plus i got a discount from him too.The car defo has more top end because the size of the filter and all i made to make now is a heat shield on tuesday to complete the job. Note the ducting i have put in for the air feed. Thanks to Gumball for the ducting CHEERS MATE[Y] And finally cleaned my engine bay with Halfords CD2.It's great stuff. Thanks for looking and what do yous think?
  23. It's very hard to get a bolt to fit that thread. I had that problem too when i got my headrs and up pipe.I would either weld that up or get a time belt bolt that has the same thread(i think). Hope that helps.I don't think the STI has EGT sensor.
  24. nice one m8
