  5. yeah but the mpg is twice wot you prob get in the scoob you old person you i know cos i drive a diesel for work which is why the scoob is in the garage a lot and has such low mileage
  6. GL Monki
  7. no its not just u DD
  8. nope i mean low mileage scoob for the age
  9. expensive item then your scoob for the use it appears to get ! same as ours in a lot of ways.... when we took it in for its mot and 4 yr service at the start of april the mechanics had a good chuckle at the mileage on it !
  10. did the same thing at the start of april monki. kept thinking in march must book it in for mot.... never did and in the end was lucky my local dealer is so accomodating and they fitted me the next day which happened to also be the day it ran out ! and i forget the service book so still need to take that back to have it completed as they did a service to on the same day. and lent me a loverrly little Ford Ka to come home in £2300 ! and i thought £600 ish we pay was bad ! hmm interesting question Monki - tbh if you have valid insurance on the day you apply for the tax then i dont see why they would be able to refuse you ? if tomorrow you are found to be driving the car without insurance then ofc you will be contravening the law....but as long as you have a valid insurance certificate when you apply for the car tax i dont see any grounds for refusal ?
  11. thats a funny name for the wife
  12. my wot a lot of dodgy looking characters.....roll call at the local HMP gratz to all though for raising the cash
  13. i obviously entirely forgettable maybe i need to change my name to Mr Cellophane
  14. yeah i'm down here to.
  15. yeah it was monki. tbh it was not expensive as we were planning a holiday anyway so 'adding' the wedding only cost a couple of hundred or so more ! those Masai dancers who we got to join us for the wedding did not cost us a penny ! must have been 15 or more of them who turned up and played / danced and sang us all the way through the hotel, down past the bar, swimming pool and over to the place they held the wedding. it stopped the whole hotel in its tracks and we go so many other people simply staying there at the time who followed us and watched -and took video and pics of our wedding !
  16. cheers Glam. it was indeed awesome place to get married. Sam - glad you enojyed it to. we only had one interesting time when our jeep got stuck and we had to get out of the vehicle. we were told to not move far ! and the guys were keeping an eye out on the surrounding bush. Cheers Ed, just call me God indeed you dont, not dodgy looking at all infact I like the 4th pic - i think that was our Day 2 in paradise we did not move out of the room much and had to run like mad to get to the bar ! having said that, after that little rain shower we did not get another drop in 3 weeks ! We went with this specialist company http://www.africansafariclub.com/html/kenya.php booked via a local newton abbot travel agent. we choose the top 5 shield hotel cos we like our creature comforts (lol, as they are in Kenya!) and did a 7 night Best of Kenya Safari.
  17. indeed Ed and it aint u
  18. i'll see if i can go talk to the guys down the coridoor about flood control. they are the ones who manage the flood defences so might be able to help u
  19. yeah nice place for a bbq Glam. well surely you dont expect me to wait to have abbq til he can join us and have a burger
  20. yeah thats the thing Rae - the size and scale of the place. as you say a 'park' the size of england ! much nicer to see them in their natural habitat. well worth a trip. and there were a couple of children on the safari who really enjoyed it.
  21. yeha some nice pics and great looking cars there
  22. at the risk of boring people even more i could post another 50. the place is stunning. totally stunning. i will look out a few more later. they dont do it justice cos it looks like just an animal - ie you cannot see the surrounding landscape in many or get the idea of the scale of the place. the one pic is Mt Kilimanjaro. our camp was in the foot of it.... we stayed in this camp under Mt Kili, at the cocodile camp in Tsavo East, in the Masai Mara and one other iirc..
  23. ok at the risk of boring most people i found a few pics of wedding and safari in kenya due to a few posts in the big chat thread. it should also piccy God Bailey to stop any confusion between God and Ed oh and everyone should do a safari..... WARNING : none of these pics were taken in a zoo !
