  3. << OK MOT time revealed a bad point in my car , found both my front disc had minute cracks covering the discs. Using Pagid discs and Ds2500 pads anyone else experienced this or am I maybe being a tad boistrous in my braking? My discs and pads lasted just 15months and about 12K BTW What options do I have for an upgrade? (Cheaply LOL) Spooks >> my first set of new pads managed 4 weeks( mintex m1144 with new discs all round) , replaced them after 3 weeks (ebc green stuff) , then had to replace the disc again as there were flapping around !(radiating cracks from center to outside) all within 7 weeks and 2800 miles thought it was going to cost me just as much cash in pads as it does in optimax! so decided to stop messing around and went for 335mm brembo 4 pot system from Godspeed (original 2 pots) this kit now been on the car 4 month and nearly 8000miles but my retinas have now detached from my eyeballs

  11. hey dude i got my geometry set up at target in perth last time i was up there, i think it was about £50 they have the prodrive settings on computer.
  12. have been looking around for another place to get my geometry checked again. there is quite a bit of difference in the price between a few places , how do i know which are best?? is there a industry best jig ? what am i looking for ? how similar should the left and right final angles be ? a 15 minutes difference okay?
  13. << You would be better going for aftermarket bushes, canny remember the name of them but its the Yellow ones Grant >> powerflex maybe?
  14. Can you supply these with the LED's on the longer length of cable for fitting elsewhere?
  15. The previous owner of my scoob got it regularly serviced at ****** in *******, but after my guys inspection they found that the back brakes were only touching the disc on a 1/3 of the surface. This had obviously been going on for longer than the 5 months from previous service! (no offence but previous owner not a heavy braker) what a mess . Somebody?s missed something under there, badly, could have been a' sare yin '. You pay through the nose for these guys to apparently check and service your pride and joy and they obviously had never taken the wheels off, any idiot could have spotted it . The front discs were also cracked badly but no mention of that in the "SERVICE". These boys are on time bonus, let them make there money else where! You don?t need to go to main dealer to keep your warranty up, go to someone who cares p3dro, prime example, no oil, what?s that all about? Bet they charged him for it though edited to show link European Law re warranty work
  16. yeah if its a combi then water pressure no. 1 target
  17. cheers skunk ,yep im coming and i think theres a few spectators too and will awd be there with new brake pads?
  18. << LOL @ Dad I taught you to drive you lunatic, the old master can still teach the young man a few tricks. >> got to admit that i learned to drive sitting next to p3dr0 in his van , so i can blame him for my technique ;D << And we could all pay a thousand pounds to be put round a private forrest with a pro rally driver as a teacher and look good in 1 photo >> present from wife ( what a wife )ONE of my most unforgetable days pretty good shot though eh?
  19. not bad for a roll call any more kilted ones?
  20. to quote p3dr0 << Just so I can watch you @rse it up again and stop the whole session and ruin everyones day LOL. >> its called pushing the limits p3dr0 not that you ever do that only had the car 3 weeks at the time ,finding out what she can do not that you were even thereft> to have your session "ruined" .... running scared were we? skunk in his new sti and me in my 7 yr old classic anyways i'm booked up, only 7 places left people and by the way the picture on the left is me driving a impreza rally car for the day at a private testing facility in wales jealous p3dr0
  21. A wee problem with insurance Anyone I?ve contacted will only do track insurance for the day This is sore enough for 4 hours but only 3hrs on track for same cost Can?t the club arrange optional insurance for the 3hrs? The SIDC shop could sell track time with or without insurance? After missing the wall last time by a testicle hair ...I would fancy insurance But I would still love to come Maybe p3dr0 might even show face if he?s got the balls!
  22. << ANOTHER GOOD TRACKDAY......THANKS TO THE GUY IN THE RED SCOOBY WHO ENDED UP IN THE KITTY LITTER AND CUTTING IT SHORT.... >> ... eh that will be me then ... certainly didn?t mean to come off cost me a hour popping wheels off to get the gravel out of the alloys and excavating the other half ton of cr@p from the brakes ....and the brake ducts.... and the underside...... certainly not my intention. I landed 12" from the barrier after spinning out exiting the chicane, not exactly what I planned Apologies for cutting the time short to the rest of you guys, but finding the limit sometimes means going over the limit! That was my first track day and what a belter! still not wiped the Scooby smile off my face since I got my first Impreza 4 weeks ago and I?ll not be able to sleep for couple of days .....I?m wired And I think I understand the handling of the car a lot better now Big thanks to all the friendly Impreza drivers who made the day sweet (not forgetting the other cars too!) And also to AWD in Perth for a great job on the new brakes and service , running like a dream
