<< At the risk of sounding like an muppet re: fast drivers........ Some people think they are going fast but aren't as fast as they actually perceive themselves... Cal >> I dont think the fast group is neccessarily the group maintaining the highest average speed, more like the group interesting in finding out of the way B-roads to explore over the entire route compared to the slow group who in the meantime are having a wee chat and taking piccies of the scenery. Drving fast doesnt have to mean driving 100mph everywhere. Remember the original TRS run up Ullapool way in 2003, apart from the Ferrari 360 moment the speeds were fast but safe and sensible the whole way.

Quality post John, I think I remember you posting something similar on Scottish_Elises not so long ago. We (Type R Scotland) have our 3rd annual Tour d'Ecosse coming up next month which is based on the SIDC and Elise runs up north. Since Jan 2004 we have been pointing people in the direction of Scottish Elises Convoy Etiquette which I believe was originally (or a version of anyway) created by the SIDC.

Its fairly simple if the Reg is wrong. Bin it

Is it printed or handwritten? Printed, and you're in the clear. Handwritten, it sounds like you are in the clear anyway as its been logged wrong.

The red CTR belongs to Duncan from Hypertech

Thanks to John for another excellent day. Drove up watching the dark clouds and a few spots of rain but thankfully it held off until the last 10 mins. As ever a nice mix of cars and superb track etiquette.

<< << Newbie question - do you have to take your driving licience with you??? >> I have never been asked to show my licence and I believe that you must only make the declaration that you hold a current licence. However if available it is probably prudent to take it with you just in case you are asked to produce it. >> Knockhill have started asking you to show your license for top marques trackdays, I think I asked last time if it would be needed for the SIDC and they said no. No harm in having it anyway though 1 Matt 2 Dougster (1.6 SE exec Civic) 3 Wilky (Millenium Falcon..........if it starts........but if it does!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) 4 Johnny (silver sti 2) 5 playsatan (black type r) 6 Cal ( wrx 02) 7 dad (red classic) 8 kart_man (Dave) P1 9 CT (Murray) - Sylva Striker - 1600 K series engined kitcar. I have only done 12 miles in the car so I hope there will be some dry laps early on, please ! 10 Kenny silver CTR

The 100% chance of snow and freezing temperatures on Friday night might make the track interesting if it doesnt thaw in time

<< What happened to the blue STi - these storeis freak me out. Scoobs seem to spin more often than other marques for some weird reason . I think the WR1 is Gee's unless I'm wrong >> Probably shouldnt mention on here just in case. I'll PM you on TRS. WR1 could be Gee's, bloody quick anyway, had a big arse oot moment exiting the chicane as I was too busy looking at him in my mirror

Arrived with the intention of going on track to find the car park covered with snow and ice. Thought, bugger this I'm going home, but Tut managed to persuade me that the track would eventually dry out. Which it did Glad I went on, good to experience the track in the wet, only been on when its dry. If the owner of the light blue (WR1 I think) is on here then that car is quick Big ouch to your the owner of the blue STi at the end

<< Could you get a price for some Type-R Scotland ones please? >> I might be able to get a few people interested in a Type R Scotland one Can this be added?
