High octane fuel North of Inverness???
steve_nairn_sti replied to steve_nairn_sti's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Thanks folks. Found a non-affiliated station in Thurso that do SUL...... 109p per litre.[:@] Still, if it's between SUL and OB, I reckon I'd rather go with quality (BP, Shell) unleaded and fire in some octane booster. Still stunned that you can't get any decent fuel between Inverness and Wick. Absolutely menthol! -
High octane fuel North of Inverness???
steve_nairn_sti replied to steve_nairn_sti's topic in Scottish Scoobies
There's a Shell garage in Inverness and also a BP garage, both selling high octane. However a full tank of fuel will not get the car from Inverness to Wick and back, hence my problem. Looks like I'll just have to ask my good lady to go shopping for octane booster before she comes to get me..... -
High octane fuel North of Inverness???

None?? Surely everyone up there isn't running on 95 RON permanently?[][] Thanks anyway Sgt. -
Morning all. The Missus is coming up to Wick to collect me from the boat next week and she's taking the Scooby up to get me. I've been on the Shell website looking for a station locator but there don't seem to be ANY North of Inverness!![] What do you guys/gals up North do about fuel and can you recommend anywhere we can go to source some high octane juice? Cheers, Steve

Can anybody help identify this kit?
steve_nairn_sti replied to steve_nairn_sti's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Interesting.... I've never seen it on any other scoobies, hence my curiosity. Oz - Thanks for the kind comment but...... I'm afraid it's just black paint rather than carbon. -
Had a few comments, specifically about the back bumper. Not sure what kit is on it. (Car is only a WRX despite heaps of STi stickers that I haven't taken off since I bought it!) From the back..... From the side.... Cheers, S

Wouldn't the STI ype RA have STI seats? The RA (In my understanding) was all about saving weight hence no leccy windows, air con etc as standard (However you are correct in saying they cvome in many guises). It baffles me though that your RA has the standard interior if it's an STI. I can't imagine the STI seats are any heavier than the standard items and I doubt anyone would "choose" to have non-sti seats in an STI. Just throwing my opinions into the melting pot. I'm not writing this post to have a go at you and I don't know anything about you so please don't take this as a personal attack on you (No need for any aggressive replies either please). I would just be a little bit more open when people are trying to give you information. They're a knowledgeable lot on here! Not saying who is right or wrong but everyone has an opinion.....

O/T How many people are at work and on SIDC
steve_nairn_sti replied to STi_Bandit's topic in Scottish Scoobies
SIDC helps me while away the hours sitting on a boat West of Shetland waiting for some work to come my way!! -
What about getting the male guests to come up one at a time and hand in the "house keys" due to there being no more funny business after the marriage? []...... ...Or does that come under the category of "used too often"...? Would work particularly well if you can rope the minister into the gag too.

I should be able to make this one too. Not sure I'll be able to keep up even on full boost but I'll try my best!

Unfortunately not this time round. I'm still going to be offshore. Will hopefully make it to a few more organised events etc when I'm back though. I went to Alford three years ago with the likes of Jools and JohnS. Had a great day and I hope everyone does this time round too! -
We're all nice like that up here! []

Erm, nope sorry. It's part of a full kit though. Front bumper moulding and side skirt extension bitties too. All work - including copious amounts of stickers - were done by previous owner. As I said previously, there's a few bits I need to change/sort out but all in good time...
