oz *sti*

Hi all, I'm thinking of getting an Apexi Power FC fitted to my sti V3 import at the mo it only has de-cat centre section afterburner b/b, larger fuel pump (and a dump valve, if that counts as a mod?!?). At the mo it is running around the 280ish mark maybe a couple more with the exhaust . My question is if I get the apexi fitted what sort of power gains could or would I expect to see, the way the car is set up just now? Thanks in advance [].

Hi all, Looking for a bit of advise from you guys out there that take camera footage whilst out driving, I have a Kodak digi camera and am wanting to take some video footage on when out driving [], Can anyone suggest any camera mounts / window suction mounts I could use and also where I could get hold on one of these mounts [*-)]. Not sure if it was you mate? I was heading through Paisley yesterday morning to get some new font tyres, a blue new age went by on the other side of the road I was just coming up to the old mills, I was in a white sti V3, I waved not sure if you seen me. If it was not you, oh well.

....... greersport at the mo??? The reason I ask is I seen a very nice looking blue new age sti with SIDC stickers in there today, as I'm new and don't really no faces, cars etc yet don't know who's it is, but must say very nice car and should look great once they have finished. I was in there today getting a new fuel pump fitted and getting the boost sorted, turns out my boost problem could be down to the boost solenoid on its way out, they gave it a wash out and a clean, no fuel cut when taking it out for a run but their was still a slight hesitation and the boost was all over the place 1 bar up to 1.3, due to go back to this sat to hopefully get another solenoid fitted and fingers cross that will sort it. Well done Wilky for the advice looks like you are spot on mate

only mods are decat centre section, afterburner b/b and a D/V no other mods at all. Had the car over a year and this has never happened before even when I have been driving it hard???

Hi all, Got a question about the boost in my 97 sti V3, the boost usually sits at 0.7 bar, last night took car to get petrol and a quick blast and notice when I put my foot down in 3rd the boost climbed to 1 bar then the car started to hesitate like i was slamming the brakes on 2/3 times as if it was not getting any/enough fuel and was going to stop, this happen twice Tried it again in 3rd boost went to 1 bar then fell back to about 0.7 / 0.8 bar but there was no hesisation from what I could feel. Never had this problem before??? I'm due to take the car down to Greers tomorrow to get a bigger fuel pump fitted and the boost turned up to 1.1 bar, would the bigger fuel pump help with the hesisation??? I will be able to talk to Bill about it tomorrow just wondered if you Techie minded guys had any idea's thoughts?? Thanks in advance.

Greersport down in Beith get my vote, they done the head gaskets on mine with a head stud conversion, top quality, fair price, quick service and a good bunch of guys that know there stuff. I'm taking mine back to them on monday to get a bigger fuel pump fitted and the boost turn up, more money it never ends. Hope you get it sorted mate.

questions, questions, I've had the car just over a year now having so much fun with it, it's a my97 sti V3 white sti import. Bit of a bugger can't make the meet tonight, I'm sure I will make the next one and meet some new faces.

This is my first post on SIDC so be gentle guys !!! Was out in the car today and got a wave or at braehead turns out both of us were going to halfords (small world and all that), The driver was Steve0 (sp?), was nice to meet you mate and have a chat hope to meet more people from scottish scoobies through 2006 would also like to come to some of the meets and get to put a face to the names.
