Hi all,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Just looking for a bit of advice - my heater matrix went on me this morning, letting quite a lot of coolant build up into a nice little pool in the passenger side foot well [].
I phoned Bill @ Greersport (that guy is a god with all the info he knows about scooby's - and thanks for the advice on your day off[]) who advised that I can keep the car on the road for the mo (until I can save the penny's to get the job done) by joining the coolant pipes together ie the pipes going into and out of the heater matrix at the bulk head in the engine bay and that will bypass the matrix (if that makes sense?) and the car will run fine I just won't have any heat at all until fixed.
I took the intercooler off etc; etc flushed out the coolant joined the pipes together and re-filled the coolant car is going o.k. now and no more water leaking inside the car.
My question has any one else done this??? Is it just as it sounds the car will run as normal but have no heat[:$]
Thanks in advance,
Alan.
