<< We've just got a house in Reddish. >> Was that the only colour they did them in mate? Bummer on the racing Jimmy. What is the new zorst Dave? Andi - there's a guy on my forum breaking a leggy estate if you need any bits. Cheap too - just scored the intercooler pump and resonator box for £30 inc postage! Jon - be good to see you when you're over mate. Bah, car was spluttering and jerking when it was cold this morning. Not sure what's going on there. At least it hasn't cut out or stalled for nearly a week now but I reckon the problem is still lurking there somewhere just waiting to re-appear!

<< Another shyte day, seen the vet today still waiting for mri scan then open surgery on knee to see why bleeding etc etc Gonna be hobbling till xmas at least >> Bummer << Have you got this bug thats going around Jim dude.. >> No dude. I accidentally drank a bottle of bourbon last night!

Morning dudes! Ooh, I feel a touch rough this morning. Good job I'm off!
-
I know dude. I can'y use my bike apart from at the weekends because it has no lighting coil being a 'crosser. Bloody winter!
-
Heh heh! I doubt she distinguishes between the wire going into the modem and the one coming out to the PC. Doh! It can be a bit exasperating at times when there are problems and everything gets described as "that thing" or whatever! Still, she tries so I give her credit for not just sacking it off.
-
She walks down the road to the bus stop, and then to her unit on Spring valley.
-
<< Nick dude , If you want me to hear your zorst, drive up and down Derby road like Jim.. >> I don't do it that often dude! Richard - hope you're better soon mate, but I suppose in the meantime hobbling has to be better than being in bed.
-
Someone in loud scoob was giving it large around the 'hood at 1am this morning. Noisy gits! Nick - I've solved Mrs D's email conundrum when I was down there last night. The power cable for the modem was lying on the floor nearby instead of plugged into the back of it. Doh! Took all of about 5 seconds to spot it but I suppose she doesn't know what's what with these things.

<< Dont need replacement pipe for mine as resonator box is before the maf and filter. >> Ah, cunning! Mine had one before AND one after but they're both history for nice cold smooth induction, almost like a good pint - cold & smooth.
-
<< Jim dude , where you coming back home at 3.30 in the morning today?? I heard a scoob like yours going down Derby rd,, I was going for a pee at the time >> 3.30?! Nah. I came home about 8am this morning matey. Not guilty! Resonator eh? Got rid of that yonks ago and put a stright pipe in. Can't hear any wastegate noise but I can easily hear the standard recirc valve doing its thang. It's quiet but a very cool noise! What did you replace your resonator with Dave? I know MRT do nice replacement pipes but dunno anyone in the UK doing them. Mine is crappy drainpipe and I think possibly it might leak. Don't have the resonator any more either.
-
<< Took the carbon canister out of the front wing at weekend and I now have wastegate chatter. >> How does that work Dave? I dig wastegate noise but am not sure what the carbon cannister really does & thus how it makes a difference. Do you just remove the cannister & connect its two pipes together?
-
Yeah, just about matey. Good work on the fags dude. That must be hella hard at this point but you're doing yourself a HUGE favour by packing them in!
-
Nah but I've just been out on the bike getting soaked & covered in mud then riding home and I'm llike an ice lolly now!
-
Morning dudes! Bummer Andi - I think there's a lot of people with stomach bugs at the moment mate.

<< Aye good point. Might be worth giving a direct earth feed to the ecu from the battery?? >> A good tip dude, but to be honest Iwas thinking more along the lines of actually tightening the ecu mount nuts a little beyond finger tight (cough)....
-
<< MAF sensor Jim dude unplug it and try it. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! >> Dude - that wouldn't show up if it's temperamental though would it? It works fine most of the time then throws a fit occasionally and makes the car cut out & not start etc. Can't think what on earth else could be wrong besides the maf & ignition relay and I've already changed the relay. Another idea though, does the ecu only earth through its mounts where it bolts on? Am wondering if the nuts need tightening seeing as the ecu has been in & out several times maybe....

He's got one mate from that written off Impreza but the plastic that the pipes go on is broken so he said he's going to keep it as an emergency spare as it's not really worth selling it. Will have to find somewhere else to get one. Bah. He was saying he's thinking about building an impreza rally car too..... Andi - Ian has a couple of sets of 15" alloys apparently so you ought to give him a buzz mate.
-
<< Do you really think we can strip the engine down in a day and re-seal it? erm dude ? >> Dude, if you want a hand before then to get the motor ready for removal give me a shout.
-
Bah. My source for another MAF can't help Looks like I might not be back on the road after all.
-
Tha old car stallone drives in Cobra is pretty damn mean too, and the one the cop guy has in Dark City (Top film!)

<< Jim dude, which ever FPR you go for make sure its 1:1 ratio as I have read that rising rate, which is used on vauxhall, ford etc.. causes problems with scooby engines. >> Cheers Dave. I'd heard something along those lines on another Legacy forum but I must admit I'd probably have forgotten. Anyway, as of this evening I now have other things to sort with the car. Grrrr! It's invented a new sport called Xtreme Conking out at junctions & lights. I put another ignition relay in a while back so I think it can only be the MAF that's gone boobies up. Not swede!
-
<< << I'll help out if needed. >> Me too... >> Ditto. Neil - you online mate? MSN me dude - had a car problem so I can't get down.

Knackers to KITT, KARR is far superior - he's the evil prototype version of KITT, and he doesn't sound gay either! I like the Mitsubishi in the canonball run too. Favourite is the white Lotus Esprit Submarine from The Spy Who Loved me.

Cool - Cheers Dave. I knew JW did the walbro pumps but didn't know they sold gauges/FPRs. I think I'll have to blackmail Santa.....
