  1. << << Nice touch Dave. Were they a piece of cake to fit? >> No, had to take a hacksaw to the bonnet hinges and drill and tap the wings. Not sweet, but I knew this before I bought them, as there is not a proper kit to fit scoobies, well classics anyway. Newage kits cost £50-£80. Hows the legacy dude? Sorted you det/fuel issues? >> They look worth the aggro though mate. A nice touch. Tempted myself but I've more important bits to get really. Car still knocks after fitting the walbro. Really not sure what's causing it. Still don't think it's the chips but am going to go back to standard one anyway for now I think and standard boost controller. Sort of thinking about a programmable ecu now I have a decent laptop to meddle, but I dunno which ones will plug straight into my wiring loom, which are good/not good, easy to map etc. Plus the added factor that I'm not sure about paying the better part of a grand for an ECU on a car that's worth maybe only double that! It's all confusing.
  2. Nothing new really dude. Take it you had a good trrip away? Saw Badger the other day, says he's still looking for his next scoob....
  3. That could be a big if dudes! After all, we did just have one nice weekend, wouldn't want to be greedy!
  4. Nice touch Dave. Were they a piece of cake to fit?
  5. << Hey dudes , forgot to tell you that it is my 70th day of giving up smoking , and I feel great >> Congratulations mate, that's really good going. Make sure you don't spoil it now mate when you're doing so well! I hate one cigarette at a party last weekend when I was drunk and I really didn't enjoy it and ended up stubbing it out. So that's only a couple of ciggies in about 3 weeks for me instead of 20 each weekend.
  6. Afternoon dudes. The weekend is almost here again! Sweeeet!
  7. Sweeeeeet! Been working on our race track this avvy. It's coming on nicely with some excellent banked sections and the general course laid out now in drainage pipe. Another few weekends and it should be armed & fully operational for racing hopefully!
  8. Yay! Finished work early dudes. Hope you all have a fantastic new year!!
  9. << Cret - Dude!!!!!!!!! Sweeeeeeet! Nice one mate!! Good arn't they. I am investing in a big Snapon toolchest next year Oh I DO spoil myself >> Well it's a Clarke one so it's not quite Snapon but still a decent brand anyway. A hundred times better than my old one! << Spud is fine mate bought 3 cars and more off him. Did you get his phone no? He is never online..... >> That's fair enough if he's hardly online much but I sent him the cheque ages ago and have heard nothing from him since nor received anything and I included my contact details in with the payment I sent him so he could get in touch if there were any problems. I just think it's pretty poor to not bother even attempting to contact someone if they've sent you money and you're not sending their goods out for ages. I think I might try giving him a buzz as I think I have the number somewhere. I am quite tempted to get the cheque cancelled though but that would just waste my money then. Nearly new year dudes!
  10. Hell yeah dude! How you keeping mate? I'm good now I have a shiny new powder coated toolchest and lots of shiny new tools. Just wish that miserable git Spud would reply to my PMs. Hate to say it but his lack of response to all my PMs and the letter I sent with my cheque is almost starting to make him look a bit of a dubious character now....
  11. << Morning Dudes! Back to work today >> Ditto.
  12. Evening dudes! New walbro pump in and running. Slightly less tendency to knock and it's smoother to drive but still does it. Bah. One more thing to rule out as the problem anyway.
  13. << Hi jim dude , Yes i did get my bits from Him M8, He did take time too post it , And took a week to get hear .. And it is a pain in the A$$ when he does not get intouch with you ... Jim I think Jon dude has got his moble number , but saying that his phone is always switched off M8.. hope you get it sorted Jim , See you later >> Starting to wish I hadn't bothered now. I don't think he's even banked the bloody cheque yet. No excuse for this kind of slackness without keeping in touch. Many happy returns anyway old dude!
  14. All the best to you both Jimmy. Have a twisty, bendy, merry Chrimbo & a belting new year mate! Andi - did you get those bits from Spud? I Sent him a cheque I think more than a couple of weeks back now and have heard nothing from him nor had a response to a PM I sent him a couple of days ago asking what was happening. Am very unimpressed, specially seeing as it was tricky enough getting information out of him in the first place!
  15. Hope you're in one piece matey! Got my new walbro pump now so I must fit that. Bloody freezing though so I dunno if I can be fussed with doing it today!
  16. << Should not be too hard to spot going up an down the prom Cheers Richard >> Suspect you're probably right there Richard. I frigging HATE thieves and have a personal bone to pick with them after having my 125 stolen last year. << All possibilities will be passed on to the victim as he has informed me that due to the last light fingeredness on the car he had a UV pen and marked almost every removable part on the car LOL. >> Excellent news mate, but the it wouldn't surprise me if they have UV lights & neons in their chavmobile anyway so they might end up spotting the marks themselves. With a bit of luck they'll drive over the edge of marine drive or something.
  17. << Afternoon dudes. Some idiot just hit my car, I now have red go faster stripes doen the N/s rear quarter. >> What a mare! I've had the hangover from hell today!
  18. I thought you said you were introducing us though dude? It's not really an introduction if it's just a pic or two & no name now is it?
  19. Yeah you'll have to behave Jimmy or she'll throttle you with her legs like that bird in Goldeneye!
  20. << Morning dudes , Iam a bit shocked when I took the dog for a walk , the throttle stuck open on the Legacy Not sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet >> Eeek!! Ye gads Andi! When you find what it was let me know..... Not good! What's the plan of attack for you all going out? Friday or Saturday? If it's friday I think I'm going for a meal then going to see DC/AC at the venue (they're meant to be really good), but saturday I'm drinking in castletown. Be nice to see everyone if poss.
  21. << << BTW How do you post pics on these forums dudes? >> Click the http link button at the top when creating post, then add the address of pic ie: photobucket http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v97/Dave...ooby/TypeR4.jpg. It will then ask for a title, click ok job done dude. Type R >> Pretty sure you can only link to images in here though rather than uploading them for some reason. I would be up for coming out dudes, but am already out tomorrow night, friday night and saturday night, and I doubt I would be able to divert people from where we're going.
  22. << Jim, we can test your tools out soon I hope >> Well the new chest looks a bit sparse now amazingly so I'll defo have to buy more! Give us a shout when you're ready mate.
  23. << Nice one Jim dude , you can get Sid to buy you some tools the ones he pinched ,,LOL. >> Eh? Don't think he'd need to dude as he's got much better quality stuff than I would be buying mate! << I have not seen or heard you car Nick , and it is a wonder I have not , for you have got Daves old zorst ??? >> Heh heh. But you can hear mine easily though dude!
  24. Exactly mate. No more spending half an hour to find a socket or spanner that I know is in there hopefully! And a convenient excuse to go on a tool buying rampage methinks. Either that or treat myself to about 3 snapon tools!
  25. << got to spar with Guy Richie on Thurs night, hopefully spar with Jason Stratham tonight. Ace!! Get quite bruised and battered every night though!! >> What, you mean you got battered by a shandy drinking southerner?! Ace. Just got my Crimble present from the mrs Ho ho ho!
