  1. Thanks to Ed and Billy for following this up........ 10/10 Flyers sends out just the right messages..... Nice one fellas.............I'll try and get a few from someone from ABZ who attends the Lecht....... Thanks again Cal
  2. Geographic version of a previous thread where we tried to establish where everyone was from within Scottish Scoobies For obvious reasons.................. don't use your whole postcode - town or village is fine at your own discretion ! Very simple to use and I'll alter the map as time progresses...... Makes sense to use your avatar for the picture as people can relate to that........... So lets unite and build up a picture of where we're distributed Click me for the SCOTTISH SCOOBIES MAP EDIT - use a good picture of your car instead of your avatar ( unless it happens to be your car !) as it's useful for spotting people at meets. ( remove registration at your own discretion using MS Paintbrush or similar software to obscure the regi plates Regards Cal
  3. Crackin' wee story line there Peter Always good to hear about the day from someone elses shoe's i.e I came from the North direction and missed the other meets on the way up Cheers CGS
  4. I haven't read these last few posts on this thread until now so maybe this is now unnecessary ? !
  5. I've never seen a forum like it......so lets hit the nail on the head, eliminate the problem before we get even more fragmented looking like amateur night in the process......2006 can be a fresh one for us See points below for inspiration ( i don't recommend we adhere to them so it's just food for thought) And yes.......it's a cut and paste ! And before the West Coast folk wonder why i never go to the West Coast meets it's cos I'm "outta town" during the week. I do go to the tranquil ones in ABZ where none of this seems to occur...You can argue that I'm a relative newbie and don't know the history but i don't care. All I want is harmony and to find myself wanting to pay £30 to be a part of a real drivers club. If this pish continues it'll be like a scene outta Braveheart up @ The Lecht this weekend. incidentally, I won't be there as I'm moving house. I think we can jump straight to section 3 below >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Here are seven steps people can use to resolve conflicts :- 1. Treat the other person(s) with respect Although respecting the other person(s) during a conflict is challenging, we must try . Words of disrespect block communication and may create wounds that may never heal. Use your willpower to treat the other person as a person of worth and as an equal. 2. Confront the problem Find a time and place to discuss the conflict with the other person. Choose a time when you aren't arguing or angry. The place should be comfortable for both of you -- away from either party's "turf." The Lecht sounds perfect 3. Define the conflict Describe the conflict in clear, concrete terms. Be specific when answering the who, what, when, where, and why questions. Describe behaviors, feelings, consequences, and desired changes. Be specific and start sentences with "I," not "you." Focus on behaviors or problems, not people. Define the conflict as a problem for both of you to solve together, not a battle to be won. 4. Communicate understanding Listen to really understand the other person's feelings, needs, and so forth. Seek first to understand, then to be understood. Step back and try to imagine how the other person sees things. Explain how you see the problem after you have talked about it Discuss any changes you have made in the way you see things or how you feel. 5. Explore alternative solutions Take turns offering alternative solutions. List them all Be nonjudgmental of other's ideas. Examine consequences of each solution. Think and talk positively. 6. Agree on the most workable solution Agree to a solution you both understand and can live with. Work to find a "win-win" solution. Be committed to resolving the conflict. 7. Evaluate after time Work out a way to check on how well the solution is working. Adjust the resolution when necessary. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Okay so the above is but touchy feely but you get the jist....... Even if there are no replies I hope that simply reading this will bring back the squadron spirit ! Comments are also welcome for ideas for 2006 ? What about a Scottish Scoobies TOTB ? Remember that what yout type can be interpreted numerous ways so be gentle Maybe we don't even have a real problem ? But the ill feeling in the forum is evident and is so depressing. Cheers Koffee Anan p.s I don't feel like I'm in any cliques of any sort so i feel well placed to be impartial amongst these bad vibes. All I want is to not have to log on and read any depressing stuff. I DO NOT take sides with anyone as all I do is type & drive in this club...... p.p.s have i missed something with this SLF patter ? ( I don't mean this in a derogatory way.....just curious )
  6. Google is the way forward Although a PM to Spooks will sort you out CGS
  7. I thought their step up was SH!T ! We've ploughed money into that joint for ages and they take the piss asking for 7 quid to get in . I sat for a good 30-40 secs with Wullie at the lights ( both prestaged) revving @ 4k and honking my horn at the long hair in the portacabin whilst he had his head up his erse. On my previous run the other car i was racing wasn't prestaged, so I looked over and peeped as if to say reverse a tad to get both lights on. Once again, the long hair fooked up and hit to go button when the Mini wasn't prestaged . So i wasted a run and another wait in the queue. Frustraing as fook when you're paying attention and they ain't !
