  1. My ADSL speed it pretty gash even though I am only 3.5km from the exchange and with BT

BT were solid and robust but I never get more than 0.75 Meg. I then switched to Sky primarily for costs reasons.

After doing this the speed was much the same as I expected.

I started researching how to optimise the speed and found this :-

    http://www.jarviser.co.uk/jarviser/broadbandspeed.html

It REALLY worked for me and my speed tonight shot up to 1.6 Meg which is double what I got before I ripped the wires out

Depends on your set up really but worth I try

Miss the days when I had really fast NTL cable in Glasgow though !

I use this speed test for my findings :- http://www.thinkbroadband.com/speedtest.html

Let us know if you try it and have success. I thought it was worth sharing

  2. That's pretty much what I thought - I'd love to go for more power but when I watch people take their cars above 350bhp it a ) costs a fortune and b ) things go wrong and you end up doing a "Fai17"

Not only that - my 5 speed box would not cope with > 350 torques likely ( even though I have an uprated clutch)

  3. Fellas,

Debating whether to switch to a full 3" system ? I doubt I'll ever run over 350bhp so do I really need a 3" system ? I was out a run tonight and even pushing out somewhere between 310-320bhp it's pretty scary given it's

propensity to rev forever on 5 speed.

Having bought Arch's ported headers as I missed the burble so intend to fit them soon along with a new exhaust system ( i'll likely loose at the top end but spool up a little quicker) . Current exhaust system is a C&C snakehead decat downpipe with an odd combination of pipework meaning that I cannot switch backbox easily without *******ising the flanges. Incidentally, the snakehead is an impressive bit of kit. I just want to be able to run some conventional length aftermarket pipework incase I need to swop out come MOT time.

Pretty sure I'll stay decatted for now though.

There's tons of mixed advice on SN so turn to you guys for some wisdom ? What's the thoughts on 2.5 v 3 ? IF I were to ver run an 18G would I need 3" even then ?

    Cheers

  5. Not been able to reply for a while folks.......

Cannot make Inverness as I have a wedding unfortunately Imy !

I know that god damn door needs sprayed but it doesn't really bother me - was like that when I bought it and silver is a bitch to colour match supposedly

Did you fit the front-mount yourself? and did you run it before with the top-mount? I am having a problem keeping scoops on the car (seagulls 2- scoob 0) and fancy the idea of the losing the scoop completely but already feel the car is a tad 'weak' lower in the rev range and don't want to worsen the situation. Has the driving experience changed markedly?

(My car is currently running approx 290/290 at the mo')

It was fitted before I got it but I have an unusual spec ( JDM STi engine from a Bugeye mated to a WRX 5 speed box with uprated clutch)........the TD05-16G spools slighty later but it parties real hard high in up in the rev range. I kinda like the wait and then the huge kick in the erse tbh. Never fitted it myself but have splenty of how to guides if you need them.

My last bugeye spooled very early on a pissy TD04 but run out of puff @ 5.5K. Great punch of out bends but not that quick after that.

    Cheers

  6. A truely chav free city sleeper ! Loving the stealth looks - was this owned by that Talizman guy from SN at one point ? I thought I recognized the reg. plate. If so he really looked after it

    Have fun and enjoy

Have uploaded more of mine. Had left it last night uploading them all but it seemed to have fallen over at some stage as Flickr went down.

I've also for some reason only uploaded 1024x768 images when I meant to put up bigger ones. So more tonight and will replace the current ones with bigger images.

If anyone fancies any prints then touch my goat.

Have you been able to upload the bigger files yet ? Cheers in advance. Muchos grateful .....Cal
