Scoobless for two months now......... Yes I miss that sound but I have a tasty replacement. I dont miss the contintual spending of moneda, constant hassle come MOT time, desire to keep tinkering ! I may buy one again but it would be a Scooby less than 3 years old. I love Classics but they are getting too long in the tooth. Have got into Mountain Biking which is far cheaper and give a far greater buzz. I'll always be fond of Scoobs but prefer a daily runner which is comfortable, quick, and maintenance free Cal ( still lurking !)

Try this fella Stuart Scott (Paint Technik) : 07801301700 or 01224 899920 I have used them 3 or 4 times. They live near me and are very reasonably priced. Based near the Audi Garage in Aberdeen Cal

Had ( & perhaps still have ) two Elise owners interested - one is a very genuine guy but he has had two head gasket failures on his Elise so is understandably cautious. The other is a keen bean to but cannot produce the greenbacks till February. I am torn like Natalie Imbruglia ! I could realistically do with the cash just now but not desperate. Equally I would love to keep her as once the diff issue and gasket issue is sorted she is 110% a damn fine satisfing sensible / yet bonkers vehicle. As for the sound she makes Flat bedding or towing to Wuz's @ the time of year with snow aint gonna happen either but his offer is massivale appreciated I know I could break her and get semi-decent money too. It's just time and hassle. I could do with towing it to a Bombay yeard and letting hundreds of efficient Indians trip her like a plague of locii. Bad time of year to happen too. WUZ is also a bad man in that he is planting the Nordschleife seed once again ! Whatever decision I make it will be a serious head versus heart debate. One thing is for sure...........I very much appreciate the input from you guys

In relation to this thread/sale to set the context........ http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtop...p;#entry1327500 I have this dilemma :- What would you folks do ? I do not intend to keep "her" although I dont really want to sell her. All comments appreciated Calum p.s anyone got a flat-bed / trailer that would be willing to help me shift the car from Cove to north of Inverurie. Dough will be furnished to anyone who can help out.

That is a thing of beauty !!!!!!

Some pics now I have sorted them out :- Ciaran - the V6 howl has always stirred my loins. The Milltek system on this car and carbon intake sound unreal. Even a mere blip of the throttle sound sweet during down changes. I think the Milltek system removes the butterfly valves on the OEM system but unsure tbh..... Cheers, Cal -

We'll soon see what unfolds.......I can afford to keep the Patriot but simply dont use it enough and would like to reclaim half of the garage back. A Scooby hatch does not really appeal and the boot it pretty small. Depreciation will be rank rotten and they just dont do it for me...... Already have an Audi Avant TDI S-Line ( remapped) for my wife to run around in now so the Golf is just for pleasure / leisure / short commute CGS ( will put pics on FlickR ) -

Here is a piccy of the seats, a £2350 option which someone paid for before me ( nutter !)......this was one of the factors that pushed me over the edge. Previous own was a detailing freak too which is nice Spec :- Full Dealer Warranty till Oct 2010 Manual 6 Speed Gearbox 18" Omanyt Alloys (unmarked) with 4 good 225/40/18 Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres Auto Leveling Xenons Lights Welcome Home Light Function Auto Lights & Wipers Vienna Leather Upgraded Heated RECARO Bucket Seats Flat bottomed Steering Wheel Cruise control Climate Control Auto Dimming Internal Mirrors and External Heated Mirrors Center Armrest Air Cooled Glove Box 6 CD Multichanger Headunit Tyre Pressure Monitor Back 3 Factory Tinted Windows Comfort pack Winter pack Mods done to the car(These were dealer fitted from new so warranty unaffected) Milltek resonated cat-back exhaust system Air Filter box removed and new Carbon system fitted (origional air box available) Euro spec R badge on rear (blue) ******************************************************************************** * I know I shall miss the Scoob but the R32 ( already in my posession so actual pics to follow) is just creamy. The sound ( never thought I would say this ) is actually better than a burble. I have not fitted a de-resonated pipe yet which is in the boot . Pure evil I suspect I shall still be around folks so dinnae fret . Also if I am being honest I was growing tired of the image ( chav, boy racer etc). Not our perception but 99.9% of everyone elses. Cheers, Cal -
Guys, As most of you know likely know, I have had a new daughter recently and already have a 2 year old son ( see where this is heading ! ). It has dawned on me that the track day / B-Road weapon I have been grooming over the last 13 months is barely getting used yet I have spent £3.5K on it in that short period ! I have used it on one SIDC track day at Knockhill and it has seen no other action whatsover other than the odd 45 minute run on dry weekends or evenings to keep it ticking over nicely.... In summary, I have loved Scoobys since L555 BAT appeared on the scene and have owned a bugeye, hawkeye and classic and been a member in here for 5 years or so. Even before that I hung around in here with my Civic Type R for a good year or so hankering for 4WD and turbo action. It's occured to me that whilst I love a balls out 300+bhp Scooby, my life does not allow me enough time to enjoy the car fully and it therefore sits in my garage for the majority of the time. I miss hearing a burble everyday as an everyday runner and recently got an Audi Avant for a family run-about. It made me realise that I need a car that looks nice and sounds better for every day needs. For this reason, yesterday I bought a Mk5 Golf R32 which has been given the Milltek treatment. It sounds like God shouting angrily, is very comfortable and wafts about with ease and looks the dawgs. So with much regret, I shall be selling my WRX ( a.k.a The Patriot ) in the next few days, coming weeks. I shall be putting a detailed advert together for this cracking little car. I'll still be in "here" once and a while and have made a lot of good friends in here so I wont be leaving the flock and will still be a KH regular. So expect to see an extremely affordable but very sorted WRX for sale real soon. A few memories........ At the Ring Duffus Dip A pregnant Natalie being driven over the Applecross Pass Main straight on the Ring In hot pursuit again at The Ring When the Squirrel was the Squirrel and not the Squiggle ! The lads on the John O' Groats Charity Run And again on my favourite bend @ KH Latest track car, The Patriot ( for sale !) - now has a reverse FMIC scoop though And many hours spen in WUZ's garage ! Cheers Russell ! Boyakasha sporting a nice wee syrup fig and the future looks like this......... and sounds like this :- Cheers folks, you have made me spend all my money and consumed tons of V-Power over 1/6 of my life ! Oh and made me buy cameras, x-boxes and the like.... Thanks go to the RO's especially in addition to JohnS who keeps us alive and kicking at KH / Alford etc. Grant & Imy dont do too shabby a job in the logistics department either ! Cal p.s compiled this as I cant sleep but having spent a bit of time doing it I am wondering if I am doing the right thing. A kaleidoscope of memories up there for sure !

That is exceptionally tidy sir !! Love the pics and clean looks. Real nice pieces of kit those coilovers ! Presumably on the back road from Newton to Girvan you'll wind em' up a bit ?! They'll be perfect for the sweeping roads that take you up to the A74 however ( cant remember the name of that fine road ) Cheers cal

That was weird - in my Youtube clip above I highlighted my favourite episode of TG...................what did they do tonight - almost a carbon copy ! My faith is completely restored ! Exeptionally funny and the footage was mind blowing. They really do have the best jobs in the UK ! How funny was Clarkson's hat ? Quality !

Lets hope they faff about less with tanks and stuff like that and bring back REAL episodes like this belter :- Anyone with me on this one ? Whilst we're at it let's ditch the soundtracks and just focus on the exhaust / engine sounds
