  1. you also need patience, time, no wind, sunny day, plenty of tea, scare crow, enough paint & thinners, and a bloody mask................i used a rag tied around my head and over nose & mouth, i'm still sneezing dark green bits out, don't breathe in too much thinners ..................you won't finish the job face-icon-small-wink.gif

but at the end..........................good job done and you can say "i did that".

also a tip for those with dodgy paint job...... use G3 it makes a bad paint job splendid (don't use it all the time though!)

  2. i have had that before, after all the description and careful thought and patience it won't go any furtherface-icon-small-mad.gif i have changed tariff, wanadoo bb, mc afee, anti, firewall. ok nso far..... but just used to turn it off and put back on again and seemed to go quicker second time round! mine still crashes on certain sites, (sometimes looking at pictures in the forums!!face-icon-small-shocked.gif) once settled i start again!

but no......no logical answer here mateface-icon-small-wink.gif

  3. cheers for that lads! and ladettes!

i have had the equipment for about 6 years, big enough compressor £150 approx, £35 gun, big buffing machine like a grinder! £60, the mops, ect.... cost enough at the time but i've sprayed a few bits mainley on my own cars, spoilers, mirrors, bonnet on my bmws, done my mates ren 5 turbo body kit in 2k (before he ended up in a tree on the m25! in the rain) so i wasn't scared to tackle it. i have just got to finish it off with some g3 to get all the c**p bits out and match the existing to it,

i wanted to do it at work under cover but didn't get the time or space there before it gets too cold, and couldn't wait another year!face-icon-small-wink.gif

  4. done on my small driveway on thursday 8th sept, started 9am walked away at 5 pm, all in 2 pack, bumpers , mirrors, splitter, skirts, i am happy it came out ok and also not in a garage, took a chance been waiting months to do though, now done before the weather sets in!

    do i get your approval??????

  5. Hi! mate welcome............. all as above, FSH!!!!!! definatly.....and look out for off road use, bent exhaust, dents in floor pan, you'll know if it don't look right. leaky shocks, weak/broken springs, a standard impreza has around 8 inches of play within the shock (because of the rally side of them!) so you have to use your descetion while checking the shocks, check the oil, should be nice and clean for regular servicing, common fault with some early classics is oil leak from rocker cover which finds it's way to the exhaust and burns off,

now without going on for everface-icon-small-wink.gif just go through the whole car, spare wheel (space saver), holes in dash from "mods", ask if any found, scratches/ marks on bulk head where they could of fitted another engine........and so on!............ use your head and don't be scared to ask anything to the seller.

rust and rot.....my 2000turbo my96 was rust proofed at the factory, don't know if this is standard procedure? i have'nt seen a rusty one yet!

the type depends on your age and budget, uk model cheap to insure...anywhere... import need a few years no claims i think, and need serious servicing. but don't be put off.once you got any impreza you'll love it,

    good luck.face-icon-small-happy.gif

  6. yes as before, i thought it was the scoobface-icon-small-shocked.gif your ok the van isn't and drink drivers should be done the same as holding a gun,

for the past two years i've been filling the forms out to be a police officer, but when i see what the world is coming to now, i just couldn't hold my temper, i could not do that job now......so i'll stick to plumbing and gas work face-icon-small-smile.gif

anyway with a nickname like insane clown would you trust me as a copper!face-icon-small-shocked.gif

not to offend any policeman out thereface-icon-small-happy.gif

  7. hi! mate yes like dooahhdoo say's it's easy, you can try this site if you have trouble too,

connect the black connecters under steering column (mine has a single wire)

switch on ignition as if you were about to start up (and do imoboliser)

you will see the engine check light flash, continous 1.3 second flash "ok"

    1.3 second flash = 10........0.2 second flash = 1

when you see it you will know! add those up and check it the list on that site,

    good luck mate.

  8. i give full backing to the chaps in there lorrys, tractors ect...when they had the last blockade, they had businesses to run as well as there equipment!, they fight on the front line for us. good luck to them, but i think the problem has to be sorted by the people who regulate the prices.

because of the hurricaine 10% of the worlds refinarys are out. they put up the price..........what about the huge stock pile the Usa have? are they saving for something we don't know about!. These oil companys are charging us for oil they hav'nt bought yet! so they are making loads of profit on the old oil.

a petition should be left at every post office, anyone who agrees to cheaper fuel, and cut the goverment tax on it should sign it, if they drive or not.

send it to Blair, and the small print will say "these signitures will convert to votes to the tories in the next election!"

And you don't see them driving around in solar powered cars or taking the bus! ........w****rs face-icon-small-mad.gif

  9. well done mate, people say they look strange (wagon) but they are quite rare, j clarkson drove one down to the south west, and couldn't tell if it was a hatch or an estate, but he loved it and rated it highly.

detachable head rests, folding seats, and a lovely retractable boot cover.

anyway clarkson it's a wagon! (not that hes looking!)
