and i went up to elstree studios last week...not a single scoob anywhere, even on M25.... at least i showed the locals what me fozzy sounds like going through the various tunnels at just a touch more legaly than the limit..... ;)

  5. Hi! matey, welcome to the club. another wagon owner!...have to put some piccys up[Y].. as for owners manual, haynes don't do one for the turbo coz the cost of the rights is too high, but... try this link>> http://www.jimclarkeracing.co.uk/scooby/my97-98/my97-98.html sourced from www.saxonfields.freeserve.co.uk very intresting info if you need it. if your ever in essex matey then pop in and see Andy at special scoobys in colchester, got details if you require. he'll sort you anything you need. he is 22b-andy on here.

    enjoy

  6. Obviously when the chip was removed the car felt slow but with the other chip it feels just as good, prob not as aggressive power but definately the same sort of power.

I don't know what it is about zerosports stuff over here, must be to do with what the customer in japan wanted or sommat. Some seem fine and others not too good.

Bill (greer) had a classic with a zerosports ecu along with some other zerosports bits. It had 3 boost settings (iirc) and would only run on setting 1 ( the least boost) even with the octane upped.

intresting, i have just the chip and mods below.. chip was set at 18psi boost, took it down manualy to 17 psi, but over fuels loads, hence the huge bangs ect..just feel the over fueling should be used in the engine rather than out the zoorst!..gonna try my other one which is set 15.5 psi but also for uk fuel, no bangs with this one so i'll see what it does with the power output[Y]

    cheers, mark

  7. Good stuff gus, a bit late but my board was fitted by zerosports in japan. The car detted like mad with the chip in on our fuel so i had to remove it. Now running another chip (thought to be scoobyecu but may not be...long story).

I now get 1.1 bar in lower gears upping to 1.3 bar in 4th and 5th. Although i may be getting a little boost creep, never goes over 1.3 so i'm happy.

hi matey, noticed you have zerosports too, i'm stil not convinced about mine either, i have the old eprom chip in another ecu, was thinking about changing to be on safe side, did you find any performance changes ie: low gear torque, boost?...cheers matey....the one thing i'll miss is the humungus bangs and flames with the zerosports, better off keeping the engine in one piece i spose eh!!..

  8. look really nice mate... i'm a gun metal type of fan but those do look right, a mate of mine has those fitted to his silver wrx. let us know how you get on with those paradas, i got 215/40/17's on mine and it's all over the shop in the wet, tonnes of understeer, but hey......fekin great in the dry[Y]..and nice tread pattern[:o]

  9. Hi! mate welcome to the club!....yep thats right you can't re-map the standard ecu, check to see what one you have though matey, >>passenger footwell, take the trim off along the door step, pull the carpet back, undo the bolts/nut on the plate...you'll see a 2 digit code on top of case on ecu eg:...mine says W6.., post again what you find, your boost could be anything between 11-13 psi depending on ecu...so i don't think your gauge is far out?.

don't over do it with the manual boost controler, wind it in about 1/4 turn at a time, i have mine set at 17 psi... i took it down from the 18 psi my chipped ecu is running, invest in a walbro 255 fuel pump, change your injectors for at least 440's if you can find some for your phase!.....if your happy with that then go for your new ecu and map.

have a look at you intercooler too, you have the slanty one?...either go for another upgraded top mount or front mount.

    good luck,

  12. hi mate welcome to the club, don't waste your money going to a garage to find the problem, there are4 plugs under steering column, 2x black and 2x green, they may be taped up nice and tidy, just undo so you can get to them. the 2 black conectors once connected will check for fault codes (your flashing cel light)....and if you conect the green ones too....this will do a reset after you have checked the codes...my advise is to just conect the black ones and watch your cel light, it will flash out a code...i'll put a link up so you can have a look

this will tell you everything you want to know,
