  1. I believe it is only the UK cars that suffered the fate of the TD04.. So Daddy you should have a TD05 and should get decent gains on the car as it is. Mark, As Andy says though the Apexi will transform the car but peak power would not see the same huge gains as it will on a TD05 or VF turbo. Simon
  2. restriction being the TD04 standard turbo.. would think something like 260~270bhp. Simon
  3. The Daddy, Assuming the 8 injectors use normal ecu connections? each output twined? the injectors being my only concern as it is a bu99er sometimes to set up large injectors and 8 of them will be worse still.. for you sanity and anyone mapping its sanity, you might do better going for 4 large injectors? Mind you if it is drag only the idle is less of a problem, which is where the problem with injectors would lie if you fitted 8. The Apexi is very capable and there is a version with launch control for drag racing etc.. but it is more expensive, called the Power FC Pro Spec (for DRAG) is has been designed for drag racing use. These units have two additional functions over the regular units: 1. Ignition cut used for rpm limiter - Regular Power FCs cut fuel feed when the preset revolution limit is reached. At high rpm, there is the possibility of knocking when the fuel is cut in high powered cars. The Power FC Pro Spec.CPUs cut ignition at the rpm limit to prevent the knocking that could potentially destroy the engine. 2. 0km/h rpm limiter setting - Allows for the setting for an initial rpm limiter that is active whilst the car is not in motion. This allows for mainting a rpm level for consistent launches. You can email me at simon . roe @ generaldynamics.uk.com if you want to discuss further etc.. Simon
  4. I have replied... thanks Simon

  6. << Hi there i am looking to get this done (apexi power fc + commander)....how long have you been dealing in apexi and to be not rude but blunt are you any good at this and how many cars have you done..... Not being funny... Joe..... >> Right where do I start. I am a software engineer by trade.. have been for the past 15years. I have specialised in air craft and have worked for Rolls Royce amoung others and have been part of teams doing engine management for aircraft engines, along with designing, coding / testing fuel computers and flight controls and missile control systems to a very high safety standard etc.. I got into Turbo cars in 1996 first with an MR2 and then in 1997 when two friends bought Impreza's. I then bought my first Impreza in 2000, when they got annoyed with my borrowing and modifying theirs. I used to run a Link ecu on my own car and remapped it through many incarnations of the car. I then tried out an Apexi and GEMs. I did a number of friends cars and I enjoyed doing it (I can look at a controller / laptop and wideband display and not feel sick) and they were all happy. As the requests to map other cars started to come in I thought it was about time I started mapping for a fee as it were, and I have since mapped a large number of car, I have lost count, it kicked off in a big way tbh. The following have been mapped very recently, I would hope they would be happy for you to ask them any questions. The following are from Scoobynet and mapped on Apexi within the last two weeks - Chris DT, Peanuts, Flat4 which made 322bhp at 1.2bar. I would like to think I am good at it.. I use a wideband which I fit to the car to monitor the fueling which I then map until it is correct, I use detcans to check for det and alter the timing to get the car as safe as possible with as much power as is safe.. As to other parts, no I only do Apexi stuff.. well I can get Link and GEMs but no cheaper than you can get it so doesn't make the proposition so attractive. I understand your questions and this being the reason I am not charging a large premium to map them, my own car currently is not a 1/4 monster, it is fast road car.. which now runs Apexi PFC and Apexi AVCR, and I have no advertising costs etc.. As said I am an active member on 22b, Scoobynet and here and would like to class myself as having a fair amount of knowledge of the cars I am mapping. Thanks for the interest Simon
  7. << Oh , there is a PFC for sale on SNET for a 97/98 car ...£350.00 bargain? jk >> If it has the commander with it then yes, pretty good price.
  8. I presume you have tried ringing his mobile?
  9. OMG!! sorry this happened!! what a low life! Are the insurance covering it?
  10. Current price is £800 and yes including the commander, wideband and detcan mapping. Simon
  11. Sorry if I am breaking any rules by posting this etc.. please delete mods if so etc.. I can offer Kent Scoobies a discount as I live in Kent on supplying and fitting / mapping Apexi PFC's as well as a discount on remapping Apexi, Link and GEMs. Thanks Simon
  12. who says they are not good in the snow? Best car I have driven in the snow.. turn the ABS off and even better Got me the 60mile round trip to work every in the two weeks of snow.. and it was bad.. my biggest problem was inferior 2wd cars getting in the way! and that was on 215/40/17's
  13. << m20 coast bound, take jct 6? for sittingbourne, 3rd exit keep in left hand lane/slips to left @ roundabout sign posted-bearsted 2oo yds on left is entrance to nottcutts ,go up hill turn right into pub. >> Errrmm you mean junction 7... Unfortunatly or fortunatly from another view point it is my Wifes birthday so I really am unlikely to get up to this meet.. the chances of her wanting to come and spend time talking about "that bl00dy car" are slim at the best of times let alone on her birthday, and we have a baby due on the 24th so she is not likely to want to stand about lol Sorry
  14. Green 95/96 Wagon looked very standard but for a roof rack this morning in Sissinghurst, wave exchanged!
  15. I have only just found Kent Scoobies and although my time is limited to do meets I would like to think that there are meets going on that I could attend if I managed to find the time. Also sorry to hear about Lee and Pele. All the best Simon
