Hi Scott, I dont get the car till today, but i was out at Duncans yesterday getting an mot on the wagon and for a price on a full h & s system including headers

I've found there web page and theres a few dealers in glasgow, it seems i cant renew it online as you can only buy the full package (supply, fit, ect) i will give them a call tomorrow or drop in to one of the dealers and see what they say

I'm looking for info on how i go about activating the tracker fitted to my new car, i take it its just a matter of calling them and giving the reg number ect, or do i have to go to an approved dealer ?

I havent bought either of the too cars i was looking at, i think i've decided i'm after a bugeye 02/52 plate sti type uk fitted with ppp (305ps) and the prodrive styling kit (high rear spoiler, deeper bumper and blue dash dials). If i'm planning on getting a re-map and full de-cat would looking for a car with ppp be a waste of time ?

Ye it certainly sorted my problems out m8, before fitting the plugs it would overboost most times i put the foot down, it was like hitting a brick wall, but since fitting a colder plug its not done it at all

Peter, I've got denso iridium plugs fitted (7's colder type) and they have cured a few problems, my car no longer overboosts, and sometimes the revs would drop right down as if it was going to cut out at lights/ect if i had been giving it some but since fitting the denso plugs its been running spot on

Hi m8, As has already been said there is no advantage to fitting another d/valve other than noise I have had 2 baileys piston d/valves on mine and both leaked, i have now fitted a turbosmart vee port valve and it doesnt leak and sounds good without being too noisey, its easily adjustable too. If you do fit a vta d/valve i would change the oil quite frequently with a good quality oil, i have mine changed every 3000miles with motul and dont have any problems with oil/fuel mixing.

Hi m8 and welcome I can recomend Duncan (Hypertech) as i know i get first class service from him and he knows his way round an impreza, prices are competitive too. P.S. Duncan is on holiday in florida for 2 weeks, he went on the 1st but i'm not sure what day he is back at work.

I would be getting a remap right away and a de-cat, would just optimax be ok after the re-map ?

<< With jdm being at the dealers you might get 6months or 1years warranty .With the Jdm you would need a Cat 1 alarm fitted or get it in your deal and maybe insurance wise a tracker fitted and i don't think 02 has hid lights .They have more power and torque than uk sti and more toys >> The jdm one has had a rac trackstar and a cat 1 fitted m8 What is the power output of a standard 2002 jdm sti ?

Yes there is warranty with the blue one, i'm not sure for how long or how comprehensive the warranty will be, or if it will still be valid after i take the car to Duncan@Hypertech on the quest for power

I've been out in the black one today and it felt like new, the blue one is 180 miles away and it will be saturday before i can get a drive in it, i like black but the the other half wants blue with gold wheels The black one is a private buy so there would be no trade in available, where as the blue import is in a dealers so i could get rid of my car in the process.

I'm wanting to change my car for a bugeye sti, i've been to see a few but theres 2 cars that stand out from the rest and i'm needing a bit of advice The first car is a black 52 plate uk car with one owner and 30k miles on the clock with fssh, the other is a wr blue 02 plate jap import with 31k on the clock and fsh, both cars are in great condition and both are standard, am i right in assuming that the jap car will be better spec'd and have more power as standard ? From what i can see the import has a higher rear spoiler and black tinted rear windows what other differences is there ? Cheers
