right after graeme (fastscooby) gave me a row for not having looked into the scoobs running problems i decided to start today first off i was going to fit my new oversized top mount intercooler on removal of my standard one i noticed a black wire which has been severed looks like its an earth strap and is fitted at one end to the bit of the bulkhead where the engine steady/mount is and i cant see what its meant to be connected to it has been broken for a while by the looks of it as the break is dirty no fresh metal in sight. any help on this would be greatly appreciated i dont want to put it back together again to strip it all back off. cheers les i will update this post as i make progress

i wouldnt really agree we had the 2l sport which also looked the part and we mainly bought it for insurance reasons and to make sure this was the way to go, we had a few idiots wanted to test drive but in the end we sold it on ebay. i think we could have sold the car over and over again and people still ask us if we still have it. we sold it to a boy down south and he was the same couldnt afford wrx insurance but could have a sport. try ebay and make a point of it looking the part with low insurance, good luck with the sale!

im going out to the driveway in 5 minutes to check over all vacum hoses going to fit a boost controller from drb5 and a b oost gauge when i get one hopefully this will rectify it. cheers les
-
I touch goats drb5 cheers guys for the help will see if this works and update post to let you know. one last question ive been offered a p1 boost solenoid will this fit my car? cheers
-
drb5 yes please mate im open to ideas on this as for the full spec of my car im unsure but the bits i know of are snakehead exhaust system hks intake and hks blow off valve these are the only visible mods i can see but there may be more i really need to get this sorted out as its making me just want to give up with this car had enough of it at the moment
-
my car has had a few teething problems since i got it and i have been told it is overboosting the car drives fine if you gradually feed in the power but if you put the foot to the floor it seems spluttery and cuts all power after 5000ish rpm followed by a bit of popping from the exhaust. i have been told to replace the boost control solenoid but am unsure whether this is the problem or not any light on the subject would be a very big help to me. cheers les

i am also a female scooby driver thats when he isnt here to drive it LOL!! but i agree you do get some strange loooks and comments such as 'but thats a mans car' but when asking what they drive its clio, corsa, saxo etc. makes me laugh when they see the car and try to keep up and then when they see a woman get out thats it they say that they werent even trying yeh right!! i also wave at all scoobies get a few waves back but a lot of confused stares!!!

paid 500? it has 8months mot and is taxed very cheap to run and insure etc, etc wasnt what i thought i would end up with but not disappointed. kids love it and it has talking alarm so the think its hilarious to scare people. they are also well impressed with red seatbelts (easily amused) i think it looks better with the kit etc on it and probably wouldnt have bought it standard, have had so many people asking when im selling it because they all want it so dont think ill have a problem selling it on either!! will get my own pics up so you can see it without the grapthics
