lescazscoob replied to lescazscoob's topic in Scottish Scoobies
we have had offers of around 4000 for our car so about that range, been looking on autotrader and they had a uk turbo on a m reg for 1700 and that was a garage with 6 months waranty? they seem to be cheaper than i thought seen some at funny prices but in no rush so can shop about and see what comes up? -
hi all at last we have just got our new brakes which are to be fitted tom (weather permitting) i also rembered that the car insurance was due? after many phone calls and typing in bloody details over and over again i was eventually quoted happy!![] was a bit cheecky on phone to norwich union which paid off and i got money off my best quote and the top breakdown cover which guarantees that you wll have someone there in 30 mins! at last something free from an insurance company?[] but it looks like its time to sell the sport and buy a much awaited turbo any ideas on what we should get, prices etc? we have a 97r reg sport and i dont think we will have much bother selling it. we also cant decide on wether to get a wagon or another saloon any help suggestions would be great

we are just back from meet which seemed to be enjoyed!!!! and we had 4 cars which was much better than first thought (thanks guys) we discussed this forth road bridge idea which seems to be a big hit but we are going to need to get a lot of people to show interest in this idea to turn it into reality so look out for more info we"ll post soon and show your support. one idea was sponsorship or even a minimum donation to enter? we re going to look into televison and media coverage which could also raise money? celebrity appearance/involvment but someone to do with cars/motorsport (not bb contestant lol!). there is a lot to be organised and possibly more meets to get this done anyone with ideas or contacts please get in touch!!!!!

lescazscoob replied to gus the bus's topic in Scottish Scoobies
i got these for sale offers, only on car approx 2 weeks bought from dp motorsport (who i wouldnt use again for their lovely customer service?lol i wish) -
after winning a £50 valet at the show and shine last year at 'the meet' in glenrothes we eventually got around to booking car in at carklean in kirkclady well with having 3 kids in the back of the scoob you can imagine what it gets like (sorry les!!) the odd standing on the seats and eating in the car??(i told them not too?) we went to pick it up and it is like a brand new car!!! they washed he seats/carpets and it smells great! no narks on the seats or fingerprints on the windows? so needless to say the kids arent allowed back in lol. so if u needing a good valet i recommend these boys any day!

at my first meet i was surprised at the number of people that were there and how friendly they were, they all had a laugh and enjoyed themselves. but over the last few meets the numbers have sadly dropped? i think that our meetings would be brilliant if more people attended but i dont know if this is due to the fact that there are all these scoobie owners out there and they dont know about us? i have stopped people in petrol stations etc and spoke to them (much to the embarassment of my husband?) but the only reason i found out about SS was at the fast and modified show. at the end of the day its the people that make what they can out of these meets and make it what it is

welcome to the mad house!

the next fife meet is 7.30 at the bankhead gate or brewers fayre whichever you know it by? ian we are more than happy to volunteer and do anything we can to get this thing organised, if you let us know what is needing done etc.
-
sorry yvonne!! i didnt mention you it was your idea it was just that ian had mentioned it ill get u drink at next meet lol! i just thought that this was a great idea and would be a shame to waste. i just had been in contact with the liason officer for fife and thought it was a great idea to discuss this? they seem to think this would be a good idea and easily enough done if they could maybe meet up with a few of us and discuss it. get dates together and some numbers plans etc etc. i have also thought that papers, tv would be interested and then SIDC could get some publicity. carolann
