  1. Right, I'm going to be putting my name down for this, but if my recent Subaru luck (all very, very bad!) is anything to go by, I might not make it. Got the car out the bodyshop today and getting it Mot'd on Friday...........

  2. Travel down Sat evening, blow up airbed, pitch tent, get woken up in middle of the night by drunken Scottish lads shaking your tent thinking your English, shout at them and then go back to bed, wake up 100yds from entrance to the sound of noisy exhausts

    Job done

Edited for accuracy ;) if last year is anything to go by......

  3. It can drive you a bit crazy at track days being stuck behind cars through the bends then watch them disappears up the straight. Especially when you have to brake early for them at the end of the same straight, you are just dying to dive down the inside.

I do have plans that might solve the power issue tho ;)

Oh, oh Mikey - have you been down to see Stevie Whitson? What have you got planned??

I loved the PAX laps round Knockhill (even with the rollers and spray tan bottles rolling around the footwell!!)

  4. as nice and sorted as your car is phil my bug is here to stay m8 , cannie part wae it , hope you get yours shifted soon shouldny see any probs there

    kenny

I'm the same Kenny, I was toying with the idea of selling mine and buying a (standard ;) ) hawkeye STi, but I think I am just going to keep it now and mod as and when I get bored with the performance. I'll be watching your progress / figures etc if you do a project thread........

Sorry to hear that Kenny, I've just been looking at the same thing myself - it's not cheap, is it??

  6. I was reading about this today in an American modified car magazine I got in an American base out here. The car looked the buisness in the article, dropped by about 5 or 6mm lower than previous hatch models.

They gave it a really good write up as well......

  7. Looks realy good mate.

I've just enquired about getting mine done when I get back to the UK, after sitting in a carpark for 3 months I think it will deserve a bit of TLC (after a service and an MOT). He's just along the road from me as well

  8. Scoobysailer - so i am missing that part, wonder why the guy before me took it off. Il go off and try and find one today.

My guess would be that the previous owner had a cone filter (or similar) fitted. If you stick a post up in the "wanted" section of the forum, I'm sure someone will have the bit you are after laying around.

  9. Im no expert m8 but i would say get that air intake fixed cause you will just be sucking in hot air from the engine bay, unless there is a pipe coming up from the inner wing (i think).

Hutch is right - you will be sucking hot air which is obviously not as good as cold denser air from the front (or inner wing if you have it fed from there) a standard one should look like this....

  10. Neil you have to stop working as much and get out and enjoy the car again. As for the people there are plenty good people on here, you being one of them. Your always will to help or sort a problem.

Remember the club is more than a forum. Get your backside to the BBQ next month the open road and badly cooked sausages will put a smile on your face again.

:hello: Neil. I've noticed over the last few years the forum has it's ups and downs (in my opinion!) and there is always the odd bit of friction, but don't give it all up - get out and enjoy your car (both of them!!). Who else is going to cook the steak at the BBQ (that I'm going to be missing because of work).

  11. Thats funny that you should mention an SIDC discount Fraser, you getting a membership? ;)

Can't help with the graphics, but hope the new business is a success! :rotfl:

LOL yes Dale, I will be renewing my membership AGAIN ;) when I get back to the UK and am no longer stuck in the desert :hello:

  12. Doesn't that guy who drives the "Coastline" customs van around Helensburgh do that sort of thing? He's a mate of someone I work with, so I could get his details for you if you haven't already tried him.

(Hope you'll be doing an SIDC discount on the tyre fitting!!)
