Don't want to hijack this thread but what is the most advisable upgrades for a blob. I'm looking at front and rear Whiteline ARB and drop links and anti lift kit...will this suffice?
I had whiteline front strut brace, rear ARB, droplinks and anti lift kit fitted to my bugeye and then got Hypertechs fast road geometry and that made the world of difference to the cornering.
Then I got the TEIN coilovers and so did that!!

I had a similar problem a while back. Took me ages to track down the fault. The negative battery terminal was loose . One of the first things I did was check the positive terminal but for some reason I didn't check the negative terminal...
I had the exact same problem a while back on my old blobeye......

I was across at Steves at the weekend and had a wee look at your car, it looks awesome in the flesh.... the pics don't really do it justice.

Hello and welcome to the club mate - as above, SW Motorsport (in Easter Howgate) gets my vote - although he can't do the alignment, Hypertech (in Bonnybridge) is also very good but are a wee bit further away from you....(they can do alignment, so can PROGRIP who are just round the corner from them).
SW Motorsport is recommended very much by myself wont let any one else work on my car, you have his details, you can ask him to have a look at my Suby will see tha standard he sets when you pop up,Chris.
I was across at Steves today and had a wee look at your car Chris....the pictures you posted don't do it credit - it looks better in the flesh.

Indian is good for us too........and perhaps a few socialble drinkies.

Just joined SIDC after empty heed harrassed us Will be waving so keep an eye out, the car is regularly in Glasgow and Hillington as Helensburgh is rubbish for 99 fuel!
Keep an eye out for a mica red bugeye - I'm in Helensburgh as well. Welcome to the club
Does that mean we can have a convoy to the Glasgow meets
-
I think (some) people just appreciate nice cars......I was driving along the M8 through Glasgow in slow moving traffic last week. I became aware of a car to the right of me matching my speed, so had wee glance over. It was a Focus full of about five young guys all staring hard over at me/the car. I started to get a wee bit edgy at this time and started looking for escape routes.........Then the two that were sitting at the side closest to me gave me thumbs up and started pointing at the car.
Morale of the story........not all wee neds are theiving bar stewards!!

I was planning to leave Bonnybridge & head up around 14:00, say 14:15 at Stirling services & trundle up planning to get to Inverness 18:00 latest get booked in & out to play
I'll go with the flow but I'm off for the wk-end & want to make the most of it.
Bobby
Bobby,
1415 @ Stirling suits me fine. We'll meet you there and then head up to Perth to pick up the others
-
What time you thinking about heading?
I'm easy, I finish work at midday and it will be about a couple of hours for us to get to Perth.
I'll go with the best time for everyone.
-
Sounds good. Looking at AA autoroute it is only about 2 1/2 hours from Perth to Inverness.
Hopefully we'll get a few more and get a wee convoy going.
-
As we will be heading up to Inverness on the Friday, I was wondering if anyone else wanted to meet enroute and convoy up.
We will be leaving from Helensburgh and heading across to Stirling (possibly meet up with any of the Central region).
Heading up the A9 to Perth (possibly meeting up with any Edinburgh / Fife region if they come up the M90).
Heading up the A9 to Inverness.
Anyone else interested in meeting up (or have any better suggestions for routes etc)??

wife wont let me get rid now spent to much lol....
Chris,
Maybe she would let you swap it for a nice red bugeye I know a guy who would be willing to swap!!
I'll need to get across to "your tuner" to have a look at the beast in the flesh.....

Chris
2/3 May. I am in the middle of packing my house up to move next week so I doubt I will get up there (unless I can sneak out )
-
Chris, are you back for the Skye run? I'm looking forward to seeing some pics of your "new" car.......
-
I can recommend the Meguires claybar kit. Great stuff and once used the muck doesn't stick to the car as bad so it is easier to keep clean
Picked one up today......standby for another detailing thread
-
Got a free new set with the front calipers and I'll need to reuse the rear ones.
-
so there it is in simple terms i hope
Exactly what I was after cheers for the links/advice

Very nice shiney brake there Did you get new discs too?
Yes, I've just had some Tarox sport Japan discs and Mintex extreme pads fitted. It was when the old ones came off that I saw how bad they were, the brakes were freed up then but they've got steadily worse since then.
Just ordered the decals for them;
