As many of you know my car suffered from Cylindar Head gasket failure,long story short is i obtained quotations from 4 very well known engine builders. Although i had never used any of these guys with the exception of John at S&S i was very pleased when i sat down with John, discussed the issues and costs and negociated a revised price to have the works carried out. What i am saying is although S&S are a main dealer with a lovely shiny showroom and bigger overheads that the other three the price was dropped down. Most of all the trust factor played a VERY big part and i am glad to say the car is back to its full performance. A big thanks to John/Lorna and the team down in Ayr. So, dont let the shiny showroom divert you to another garage, go in,speak the them and negociate. Thanks again. Davie

Right guys, im in contact with one of the top detailers and detailing suppliers in the Glasgow area to arrange an evening/Morning/Afternoon to attend his premises to view products and get advice with some demonstrations. He is coming back to me with dates so need to gauge on numbers and what would suit ie evening/afternoon or morning and what days Sat or Sun. I am in conversation with a local detailing company to arrange an SIDC day with advice/products to use and also buy complete with discounts for SIDC members. Once i have had some dates thrown at me with options and % dicounts i will pass onto our ROs to take it from there

Not really Paul I'm all for moving forward with the club but posting for postings sake is a waste of time and IN MY OPINION drives people away when they see post after post of nothingness !!!!!!!!

Gents, i seem to recall there were some quite handy wee tips to check things with what i thought was the keypad ie battery voltage ? I forget, can anybody help as its dead handy .

The difference in colour of the car after doing that lot is amazing, its a mixture of haveing the time and the right products but most of all knowing the process :-)

Twice a year my cars get the following, in between normally the smaller list of cleaning. Twice a year as follows; Power wash Snow foam Power wash Lamswool wash mitt two bucket clean Towel dry Tardis de tar Power wash towel dry Clay bar Machine polish V36 cutting compond Towel off Machine polich V38 polish compound Machine polish sealant Machine polish glaze 50/50 wax Trims/tyres dressed In between washes Power wash Snow foam Power wash tardis tar removal lambswool mitt two bucket clean Towel dry Wax if required. All Chemical Guys products :-)
