ah that's good news, for a minute I thought it would only be a few of us pitching up.
  3. How do I book a child ticket, or do kids not require tickets
  4. Hi Richard Welcome to SIDC. Depending where you from, there is always something going on. check out the events calendar to see what's happening and when. I think the next event is the Ace café meet in north London
  5. haven't booked my ticket just yet, but mark me down as going.

  11. Hi Lisa Welcome to SIDC I am not from Derby so cannot recommend and MOT centre. For servicing though, I think the best place to go to is Scoobyworld in Leicestershire. Probably only about 30min drive from Derby I would assume. Unless somebody else on the forum knows of a specialist close by. That's just me adding my 10cent.
  12. If its just quick resizing, on a windows PC open the pic in paint. click resize. and adjust the parameters down from 100% to anything acceptable. the resave as jpeg.
  13. Just booked my ticket now. First event with SIDC. Now lets hope my car is up and running by then.
  14. An MOT is a ploy to keep scobby's off the road.
  15. Hi Mr Oilman Do you have any good deals coming up soon. I will be purchasing a few items over the coming weeks as I slowly start getting all the relevant items for my next service. Also does the 10% forum discount apply on any purchase at any time.
  16. I have used the RAC to do an inspections on a vehicle while I was shopping for my car. They are very expensive but they do a full check and provide a very detailed report of what's all been checked and the condition of the car. I would recommend you first do your own inspection and once you have narrowed your choice down then get them in to do a check, as this cost could quickly sky rocket if you get them in to check each and every car. Depending on where you live, you could even get some Subaru specialist mechanics in to do a check. I know Richard at FB Tuning in Bedfordshire offers a checking service on cars, think he charges £150. But he will almost guarantee to find something wrong with the car which will ensure a reduction of his fee's or more.
  17. not yet, will try and book them this weekend.
  18. Looks very nice, I like, So many things I want so little money.
  19. Very nice of her. give it a few months, until you start splashing the cash on the scoob. I got a similar sign when I got my car, now all I hear is " you spending all our money on this bl00dy car"
  20. So I took the car in to have the power steering belt replaced, also a diagnostic check. He also replaced the aircon belt free of charge Richard at FB tuning is really professional, he also recommended the best place to buy parts in order to cut down on cost. He works alone, as he feels its best to do everything by himself as its his name on the door at the end of the day. and his aim is to give the best service he can offer. I still have loads of work that needs doing on my car, and I will definitely be using his services again in the future.
  21. Hey Duckula67 welcome to SIDC. always nice to see new members joining. I was in a similar boat not too long ago, I am from Watford and was struggling to find good mechanics in these parts. I started out with a company called Power Engineering in Uxbridge. they used to be a fairly big outfit, but have downsized a lot, they now have a small garage out there, and I took my car there to have coilovers, and anti roll bars and exhaust fitted. They seem to know what they are talking about as the owner actually races cars. The next company I am planning to use, and actually taking my car in this Friday to have the power steering belt replaced is FB Tuning. The guys name is Richard, and he is based in Bedfordshire close to High Wycombe. I have read only good things about him, he specialises in all things Subaru, and depending on how things go on Friday, will use him as my preferred Scooby Doctor. He is charging me £20 for belt change and £60 for a full diagnostic. So pricing is not that bad as well. Hope this is helpfull
  22. that's the look I was going for, very inconspicuous. except for the massive tail piece.
  23. Hey DB Scoob So I decided to finally purchase the Car cover. went to Halfords, which is about 10min drive away. they had the option of 4.6m and 5.2m length covers. I opted for the 5.2m XL which I thought would compensate for the rear spoiler. cost me £50, and with an option to return after 28days if I was not happy with the product I decided to give it a try. it fits nicely, little big, but it does have 3 straps for securing firmly around the car. 1 below the rear bumper, 1 below the front, and one in the middle. I know it can be a nightmare getting a cover for the scoob, so this is just another option for anybody looking to purchase a cover.
  24. Hi Ben Scooby Clinic is too far for me, so will be looking at going to FB Tuning. I read a lot of good reviews about FB Tuning I had a full service done just over 6months ago, and this is not my daily driver, prob put on about 2k miles in the last 8months So I have some time till my next service
