Just spoke to one of the local cops at the shop there....with no reg no i am completely F**KED. Now feel even worse as the officer just told me in no uncertain terms that the guy should have given way to Kate no matter what, as he was waiting at the junction. Money Money Money. Del.

Just got in from work to be told by Kate that she's pranged the car.Rear bumper scraped and dented in about 2" at the drivers side.Everyone in my street does a 3 point turn at the give way at the top of our street (including us) and this is what was happening today as Kate turned right then into reverse and back when a guy at the give way proceeds to pull out anyway and hits our back bumper.Kate wasn't sure if it was a bump or not so put the window down and apologised for not seeing him,drives down the hill 40 yds, pulls over and gets out to check the car and the guy just drives off past her never to be seen again......thinks it was a purple/lilac coloured Escort. I personally don't know where we stand on this....is it Kate's fault/is it his....do i contact police/do i put it down to experience....? One thing i do know is that in 10 mins i'm off out for a drive about to see if i can find it sitting anywhere. I've put a post on for sale and wanted looking for a bumper if anyone has one,but will get it checked first to see if it can be repaired. Raging as 1 1/2 months ago my neebs scraped my back bumper then gave me the money to get it painted,so it was looking nice and sweet and now this.....F**K i think i'll buy a scooter..lol. He He.....seriously though,does anyone know of a place where i can get black annodized wheel nuts for my Bugeye.I'm thinking if i spray/powder coat them they will get scraped when i apply the wheel brace. Any help greatly appreciated. Del.

I'm looking for a loan of a set of wheels for about a week sometime in November,so that i can put all 4 of mine in at the same time to be refurbished and to have something a bit special done to them...(guy needs all 4 at once to get it right) My car is a Bugeye so any set of 17's or larger with the correct offset will do,doesn't matter what state they are in,just as long as the tyres are legal..as i said it should only take a week. Hoping someone can help me out with this as i have done it myself for Rice Rocket(Paul) in the past. Thanks in advance Del.

For about the last 4 or 5 months i've not really been taking much interest in my Scoob/modding/SIDC/or the scooby scene in general so decided i would get rid of my car. Had a look around and found a nice little Lotus Elise that both myself and Kate agreed we liked.Done our sums and concluded that we would trade theWRX in against it and we would be the proud new owners of an 02 plate,2 seat pocket rocket. Went down to the dealers today to sort out the paperwork and handover of both cars after test driving the Lotus at the weekend. Standing in the forecourt looking at the Lotus and back out at the Scoob,we both started weighing up the pros and cons of the situation. Kate...If i go shopping with my mum,where will i put the bags? Me....i think i prefer my Scoob Kate..ther's no luggage space for trips away Me...i think i prefer my Scoob Kate....getting in and out of that is going to really pi$$ me off Me...i think i prefer my Scoob You can see where this is heading ......."Hi Gary(salesman)bit of a problem,we seem to have changed our mind".........Gary turns chalk white....."i think i prefer my Scoob,sorry bye" Drove up to see my neice for her birthday spending the whole journey explaining to Kate that i have 4 or 5 jobs coming off in the next few weeks and the majority of the dough was going to be spent on my car. Strange,one close shave and suddenly i loved the fact that i was a Scoob owner again. Don't know what's been happening with me lately but i do know one thing,the Scoob is here to stay and so am i.
