Devastatingly bad day for us today and it means we will have to get something against Rangers next week to confirm Europa league. That is bad news for Rangers !
Lafferty should be given a 5 game ban for that and made to clean Mulgrew's boots for his next 5 games. That would set an example.

I was going to say I knew that feeling before you, but I can't share in your boredom. The reason being that Scottish football was in much better shape and far more compedative when Celtic did 9. When Cetic did it, they did it on the back of European success with a strong Rangers in the mix. ... all on an annual budget that wouldn't pay the weekly salary for a top OF player these days. That was back in the day when football was football, not the commercial p!sh that we have now.
Good grief. I agree with you John ! When did that happen before?
-
I got that wrong! I'm not sure I have seen such a one-sided game in all my life! Back in the melting pot. It's not so much who'll win the title as who'll throw it away. Presently the OF are throwing it back and forth to each other like a hot spud.
Or like McDonald throwing his studs about! Shocking tackle!
-
Yet again our luck wasn't in. Better finishing would have won us that game.
-
Quite right there Dunk. Lets keep it civilised people please.
Anyway Scott Macdonald is a vicious animal. UTD in game with blind ref again shocker.
-
Big game tonight at Parkhead. Will the Terrors luck change?
I can see a draw here.

Neil
How about heading down to the river and getting some aquatic insects?
Anglers are always looking for good shots of trout food.
There should be some mayfly about now as well.

Like signing Owen on a £50k a week deal
Celtic will never take to Strachan due to his Aberdeen routes
What like the A90?

The insert removal tools are attached by means of chains aren't they?
-
Cheers Wilky. I now know where to go for all my lifting certs and questions.
In this case it is not the use of chains per se but chains for this particular task ie making and beaking joints on the drill string. If you haven't seen it it involves throwing a chain at a joint so it wraps around several times so a load can be pulled on it to torque the joint. One end is fixed to the catworks and the other end is loose with just the friction of the wraps to provide the location for the chain. Bloody dangerous!

aye, i guess thats why i called my last tool pusher at transocean a f*****g ar**hole lol
funny enough i never did get the promotion i was looking for after that, but i stand by my comments he was a f*****g ar**hole it was just unfortunate it was me who told him so
His opinion of you will never be known though
For the record I think you are nice.

disagree, yes he had a problem with tires but it was the change of strategy in favour of button that swung it
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/8042843.stm
im getting the impression rubens thinks this as well
Don't know when that interview was done but at the post-race briefing he said he wasn't as fast as he should have been.
Brawn also said he lost pace and that he would have won with the strategy he had.
-
TBH i dont think his victory today was his own doing, its looking like Ross Brawn is starting to favour one driver out of the two already
Nope! Barricello had a problem with is second set of tyres and lost pace.
Vettel couldn't get past Massa because of the Ferrari KERS system.
Do pay attention people

Last game is UTD-Rangers at Tannadice.

There are a few different options to chains, spinner on a tugger (easiest and more practical option), chain tongs (slower and more manual work but safer), iron roughneck (have not seen one one those rigs being filmed yet so kind of rules that out) , rotary table (dont know why they dont use this?), AFAIK the use of chains is illegal in the UK due to safety reasons, but the "good ol boys" still seem to favour them, was pretty happy to see that t**t of a driller get the bullet though
Agree about the driller Dunk. I could just see you taking that kind of abuse from a driller.
I remember seein an offshore US documentary where an Apache Co man used to abuse roughnecks and drillers alike on the drillfloor. I know what would happen if he spoke to UK guys like that and the first aiders would be busy.

I can't remember a time when Hibs took points of off Rangers in a vital match. Unless something goes really really wrong, a win for Rangers is a formality
Don't know about a formality but should be straightforward for Rangers although with Fletcher and Riordan in your team you should always be expecting to score. Will Jones be back for Hibs?
The Celtic-UTD game is less straightforward but UTD's luck against Celtic is awful. I can't see UTD winning but a draw is a possibility although injuries have affected us badly of late. The plus point of that has been the form of Goodwillie who has stepped up and looked very impressive. In fact the UTD team of the moment is very young and last week only Dods and Zaluska were over 22 in the team.
-
I am not entirely sure why you use the spinning chains. One of those rigs is latest tech but doesn't seem to have an iron roughneck and of course they wouldn't have top drives as they are mega expensive and can be quite troublesome. So you you would make up and break out with the tongs and rotary table so I don't know what the chains are for.
That Cyclone rig I worked on out in North dakota didn't use spinning chains and it had a Kelly system.

I have to say I like the show. The chop shop guys have more creativity and ideas than the Foos formula cars. I really don't like what Foos produces (chrome wheels yuch!) and they spend a fortune. The chop shop is quick and nasty but what they produce seems to work and sometimes I just don't know how.
-
Ah well the domestic abuse should be in full swing now.
Anyway what an end to the season! Top 5 all battling for every last point and nothing decided. UTD have the top 3 next and I reckon it will all be decided at Tannadice. Definately fancy UTD for at least a point in the Rangers game.

Are you a professional or an armature?
Hit the road Neil. They have internet access out in the ME you know so your social life won't suffer.
-
Well thats the thing. I have been to Texas and seen the local papers full of adverts for ambulance chasing lawyers searching for injured oil workers to work for. I was up in North Dakota drilling a well 5 years ago and the safety aspect was quite focussed eg no slip on boots after a guy sprained his ankle. The drillcrew would still smoke on the drillfloor though!
The Cyclone 3 where I was offered many cigarettes
My workplace. Luxurious isn't it?
My transport for the time.

I have been on and round drilling rigs and drillfloors for 20 years now and I have never seen such a bunch of gung-ho lunatics and that includes working mainland US.
Spinning chains are something I have never seen anywhere and look terrifying. Anybody actually work with them?
-
Dunk is younger than me?
Bloody hell!
That was some paper round in Peterhead.
Many happy ones Dunk.

Isuzu 3.0l td's self-destruct. Leaking fuel injectors fill up the sump and at the right/wrong moment they rev themselves to death. I do think there is a fix now though but you would be best checking with an isuzu expert.

Yeah if Aberdeen win and UTD lose Aberdeen get 4th and into the Europa league.
We get 6 teams in Europe this year with Falkirk as cup finalists and Motherwell as Fairplay.
Wonder how many will make it to christmas?
