  1. oops it was rig lag. The club night is on the 14th. I have spoken to the chief marshal tonight and he reckons that he can use as many as will turn up and there are lots of good spots for marshalling with good views.
  2. I will be there as my co-driver is putting his S2 on the rollers.

  10. The Miller is renowned for its Tafia. When they were drilling the entire control room came from a small village near Swansea. (OK I made that bit up) but there were a lot of Welsh chaps about. We still used to win the wekly quiz though.
  11. << Geeze there are a lot of oil-monkeys on this forum >> Hoi..... That is North Sea Tiger to you pal!

  13. Work?!!!!! Think we are about to unlatch the riser. The sea is that bad!
  14. Ah well it has got bouncier since I last posted and there is a rumour that we have had 100mph winds. My sympathy is with the standby vessels. Now that is a job I wouldn't do for all your day rate!
  15. Oh yes I have worked in the Gulf and frankly I would rather have this than the humidity you get from the sea there. Dreaming of my summer back in North Dakota though.
  16. Out here by the Heather on a floater and the wind is screaming. 80 mph winds and 50 foot waves. the rig is rolling about a bit now. Just been stopped from going outside so it is vids and internet for me.
  17. Did I mention that you get to stop any yellowy/green corsas at every junction and admire the lightweight co-drivers contained within? I did? thought so Davie...It will be my great pleasure to see you and Gerry out on the stages.
  18. The Crail Stages is the last rally in the Scottish Tarmack Championship and there will be a good entry with a variety of quick cars. my club (Glenrothes Motor Sport Club) will be running the event and we need marshals so the event can run. You will get all the instruction you need , a free lunch, good parking and an opportunity to get close to the action. Of course you get to wear a yellow/orange tabard too! I know Teknopete had a ball marshalling last year. Don't confuse this with crail /14 mile events type nonsense . This is proper motorsport with committed drivers and support. I will be talking to the chief marshal on Thursday so if anyone is interested please put your name down. Feel free to ask me any questions either on the forum or pm. 1.Zeolite
  19. << Ken 275 .. Phoned More Than .. Didn't even get as far as a quote because , and I quote " We don't insure Subaru Imprezas because they're Group 19 and we only insure up to Group 18 cars " !! >> Eh?......I am with More Than. So they do insure Scoobies. I am old though.
  20. Sorry I missed it. Good luck for the future guys.
  21. Skunk..I know there is an SIDC track day the weekend before and I will probably be there as I often am. however I have a race meeting on the 24th and I don't want to risk the car. I know that there are a couple of SIDC ADMC members too. Some of the track day slags just can't get enough track time either. Anyway look forward to meeting you Skunk
  22. Aberdeen and District Motor Club are running a track day at Knockhill on the 31st. £50 for 6 hours 09:00 to 15:00 Open to all MSA approved club members. Got my place booked and I will be out with something a bit different! Anyone else?
  23. Sorry Russ. Stuck offshore and I won't be able to make it I am afraid. So I will have to wait even longer for that cup of coffee
  24. Guess what Ian...........I am offshore! Never fails!
  25. Well basically you watch all the cars go past apart from yelowygreen corsas, which you flag down and shout abuse at the co-driver. If you are serious about marshalling I am sure I can organise something. pm me and i will get details sorted with Bill Creevy whose is the chief marshal. This for the Crail Stages in November
