Go to Costco for tyres they are very well priced but also do 2 weeks twice a year where if you buy 4 you get 20% off. i posted exact prices somewhere on here

Similar distances to be honest up to the fork in the road. i would suggest up the a1 route to north berwick before Edinburgh. maybe a nice meal in Glasgow
