This was my second jaunt in the car and thought i was pushing it quite hard at some bits but i've just realised that i only got up to about 110, boy these cars are slow.. safer for your licence but slow.

The maps seemed fine although i never had to use it, i just followed the car in front.

A good day, some very nice roads,exciting in the wet with cheap falkens and 15psi in my front tyre. Cheers to grant and co for a well organised day.

End of august, 29th i think its the bank holiday weekend, think they are trying to arrange a bbq at the end of the run aswell

Well my cars ready for me to pick up tomorrow.. All in it's cost me £715 to repair after a silly bolt came loose and wrecked my crankshaft pulley. These cars are bloody expensive!

I did, look nice although i'm not too sure about go fast bits written across them, looks a bit boy racerish. I couldn't get the crank pulley off to change the knackered woodruff key so i gave it to ava who are now cursing me as it turned out to be a nightmare to do. Anyway should get the car back tomorrow (tuesday). Out of interest why did you change your pulleys? Did you have a knackered pulley?

HI derek, is your alloy crankshaft pulley smaller than the original? My pulley is smaller but the same thickness so i guess it's fine, i take it the belts are shorter (can't compare as my original belt is lost) Not bothered, just curious. Cheers Johnny

Cheers m8, after thinking about it i decided i'm not happy to use it with the slightly worn woodruff key and as i don't have a puller to get the pulley off it's going into the garage (ava) to get sorted.

OK Derek, i need your help. every time i try to set up the timing belt when i tension it it pulls the tdc marks out of alignment. Am i doing something wrong?

HI mate, the timing belt was changed last year so i s'pose it could have gradually slackened off if it wasn't tightened properly. Anyway took the pulley off today and the crank seems fine, a little wear on the woodruff key and some marks on the pulley so i've ordered a set of performance alloy pulleys fron graham goode inc new belts.

Looking for some advice.. Whilst driving along my local backroad today i lost my power steering, after crawling home i found out that the power steering drivebelt was missing. The crankshaft pulley was also slack so the belt either slipped off or snapped. Anyone else had a similar problem? Is there anything i should look out for? or is it just a case of tightening the pulley and fitting a new belt? There were no other probs, power was fine (albeit at low revs) and there is no strange rattles from the engine. I heard that a slack crank pulley can warp the crank is this true? Any info welcome.. Absolutely gutted i'm going to miss this, was gonna book tonight but my m8 wants me to go look at a type r with him on saturday. Not much persuading needed really, never mind, roll on the next one.

looks like i'll be heading down, didn't look too promising for a while as my m8's wife was due a baby, but baby has now arrived and we'll going.
