  1. Ours, a 2006 Hawyeye WRX 2.5 PPP has only covered 42,000 since new. It has lots of extras, full service history, run on the best oils, V-Power and looks (nearly) as new. Worth a fortune to us, but only someone with good sense and knowledge would pay a sensible price to buy. Meantime, we will be keeping it. What would we replace it with?

  2. Nice lookin hawk.. personaly. I wldnt go for the hatch wrx. Id rather put the cash towards a good condition low mileage if possible ,Hawk, blob or bug.

only a couple sti hatch's. That ive that i like and someones heavily modded wrx hatch. But thats just my personal taste. If you like it then go for it. Never driven one so dont know what their like to drive

    I agree!!

  3. My 2006 WRX PPP 2.5 has proved faultless over the past eight years of ownership. Apart from the Prodrive Performance Pack, the engine is unmodded. Always serviced properly and best Millers full synthetic engine and transmission oils used. Often driven as it should be, but never on the limiter! Agree the 2 litre unit is more able to cope with large BHP increases. Go for it!! By the way, be careful of non manufacturer warranties - the providers do like to emply the ware and tear cop out...

  4. All of our five Imprezas owned since 1998 have been run on Shell Optimax/now V-Power Nitro (sometimes Tesco Momentum) and in my opinion, there's no point in running on 95. Have also read on many occasions that there in a considerable power gain by using a 99 octain fuel in an Impreza.

  5. Problem is, Subaru don't spend any money here on promoting their excellent range of cars - have they ever mounted a TV or serious newspaper advertising promotion? Meanwhile, me and my wife receive endless mailings and emails from International Motors and two local dealers telling us how good their products are. They should realise that we probably agree, having owned five Imprezas since 1998!! Mind you, same goes for my superb Japanese built Honda Accord 2.4 iVtec. They promote the Jazz, Civic and their SUVs, but never the Accord and no doubt that's why Accords are a rare sight. In the US the Acura (Accord) sells extremely well..

  6. 66 years old today and also celebrating 16 continuous years of Impreza ownership and being greedy, most of those years, me and Mrs Mac have owned one each! Hope to do a deal on a 2014 WRX STi demonstrator once available next year. Then our pristine, low mileage WRX PPP with sensible mods will be up for sale.

Delightful local pub lunch with our daughter, son-in-law and two grandkids (grandson is a huge Scooby fan), probably too many excellent red wines and won't be driving until Tuesday!!!

Am I the most senior SIDC active member?

P.S. Just booked a half day rally experience day. Can I recall how to drive a rear/front wheel drive machine with intent?
