  4. Thanks for that, but I may be showing my ignorance, can't the ECU of my car not just be remapped. I'd rather not have to fork out for a new ECU unless strictly necessary
  5. Hi All Was wondering if anyone could advise of anywhere in the Nottingham area thats good to get my car remapped? Ive found a couple places on the interweb, but obviously recommendations are worth there weight in gold, as are advice to avoid certain places. Cheers Chris
  6. Have any of you guys tried the Torque app on Android? It requires an OBD II sensor. I have a bluetooth one with the app running on my Sony S1 tablet..... looks fantastic. Gives you access to all those fancy dials without the need for ripping holes in things and routing of cables. Torque Home Its available off of the Android Market place, free and Pro versions available :-)

  8. Hi Matt Welcome! We are very close (i'm just down the road in Kirkby), so may well end up bumping into each other at a meet. Just got my first Impreza at the weekend. So we both new to all this fun :-) Chris
  9. I have a Canon DSLR for serious photographic stuff, but just bought a Nikon P500 as an everyday point and shoot compact. Uses cheap as chips SD cards as well. If your parents are still using disposables they may be more included to a point and shoot, DSLR though great are a bit bulky and can be rather unfriendly to thos not technically or especially photographically minded. I did seriously consider the Panasonic Lumix tz20... a very neat little buddle, and cheaper than either a DSLR or the P500, but i found the P500 on offer whilst away in Abu Dhabi, and the 36x optical zoom sold me :-) P500 tz20
